Food is so subjective so I hate to really throw any shade.. What I think was no good another person may love... That said if I recall correctly there was not a huge selection/Varity of rolls, the salmon was a bit fishy, and the sushi rice was under seasoned(no vinegar or sugar detected) however the miso and spring rolls were GREAT. it could have just been an off day for rolls. We did not eat at the Seafood restaurant very much, But i do recall the Shrimp/lobster dish there was wonderful. Just be ready that the lobster is the Caribbean spiny, and not a cold water "Maine" type lobster.
@@Dave_ess Your detailed replies are so appreciated Dave. Muchos gracias. If the salmon was fishy: yikes. That's a no go for us. Freshness is THE most important thing!
hi there, looks like Majestic resort has better beach in terms no bushes , no sea weeds, Atelier beach looks nice as well however I dont really like the bushes on the beach, they covering all Caribbean sea view. Not good
@@romashka00 I think we liked the Mexican restaurant best, followed by the Italian (mostly because the mushroom soup at Italian was great) I also think some of the best food was on the fiesta night, just out in the courtyard buffet style, and we are not buffet people. but food is so subjective, something I loved you may not. Btw I have done 2 videos on Majestic linked here -. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-xd9kJhz9KT4.htmlsi=6jZeyVM-2kD08T4_ ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-bJmOYfZNkCQ.htmlsi=k0Ha9VhmdhHknTB9
Thanks for great review. How do you rate Majestic vs Atelier? We’ve been at Majestic in 11/2023 love the rooms, Bali beds … many more, and will be at Atelier soon, want to hear your opinion for the 2 resorts. Thanks
Hi and Thanks! Full disclosure we did the Inspria upgrade. I would say that Atelier is Superior. They have better food and more options, If you can get in Maria Delores it is Michilin caliber, better Mixology (It is truly next level at the Calle bar) And the upstairs pool area is exceptional. However all of that comes with a heavy price Tag, And I continue to go back to Majestic because it offers Pretty decent drinks and decent food with amazing rooms, amazing swimup layout at a really good price. I also think Majestic has a superior beach layout, Much better nightly entertainment, better breakfast buffets, and fun theme nights in the square. I will go back to Atelier, but it is more of a treat, whereas at Majestic I can afford to stay longer and still enjoy myself, so It has started to become my "regular" spot
Hi, that sounds to me like you may have a keybind issue. Perhaps a macro that pressing the fire multiple times when you press the button, does it behave the same way if you just press the button briefly?
Hi and thanks! According to website the Italian and the steakhouse require long pants and closed toe or “elegant” sandals. It says that the Bistro also requires these (or Bermuda shorts) However, I am nearly positive. I did see people in nice crisp shorts at the restaurants. I’m not sure how much it is enforced .. I’m assuming perhaps they size you up when you arrive and have the policy in place in case you show up looking fairly haggard, so they can point to it. For myself, I always did dress up in long linen pants, nice collared shirts, and closed toed shoes, or huaraches. We like to dress up, and has added benefit of making your wife very happy when you look dapper ;)
Thanks Mark. The Breakfast Buffet is a Standout, and it shines above similar resorts we have been to in the area. It is quite large, has all your standard hot foods, a fresh fruit area, cereal and bread area, Fresh Juicery, dual made to order omelet/custom egg stations, Mimosa/bloody station, and full table service for beverages and clearing of dishes. Don't miss the Mexican breakfast offerings like pazole, Chilaquiles, and Motuleños. Also there is ala-carte breakfast available at the Italian restaurant (We never tried it) and room service breakfast was typically delivered within an hour or ordering and was always passable.
Do they have other loungers on the beach area or are they all the day bed type? Considering this hotel early March before spring break. Do they have beach volleyball / beach bar ?
Hi Jackie, They do have the trifecta of beach seating :) Bali beds, Palapas, and Loungers. They have a Volleyball court at the South end of the beach, this is near the Larger and "non-Club" beach bar. There is a smaller "Club" beach bar at the northern end of the beach. The northern end of the beach is also the "club" area.
Bulls refers to BULLSEYE, which is a known geographical point, (often a town, but could be anything) that you can use to reference other locations from, useful as it can brief multiple ships at once. you can ref this video for a little bit of a rudimentary explanation on it. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-VLO7JsBPI2U.html
Hello these are staggered Gram Lights 57Xtremes 18x8.5 +45/18x9.5 +40 At the time I got them, they had to be imported from Japan, and were very hard to get, unsure if they still are or not. Some lucky bastard out there got them on the rolling chassis after I waterlocked the engine in a flood.
So everything shown from my patio is the "Club" area that means 18+, at 1:03 when I show the lounge I am pretty sure that is also 18+, and the Sunrise area upstairs is also 18+. However, all the food I show (except the club snacks) is available to all. I *think* kids can go in the main center pool, just not the club pool that is closer to the beach. all the entertainment, theme nights ect are open to kids. We don't have kids, so I am not a great source for info, but from what I can see the children at this resort are really well behaved, but I am not sure if there is a TON for them to do, the kids club looked a bit sparse, and the "family pool" had a few water toys/features but that was it. I guess it depends on your kids/ what other kids are there so they can entertain themselves. in regards to the "family side" there is not really sides so much as buildings, the northern most buildings are adults only, while the southernmost buildings are family. the center is sort of mixed.
Sure! I swam/floated a couple of days out there. It is a nice sandy bottom beach. I have no idea why more folks do not swim as the beaches in this area (Cota Mujeres) have far, far less saragus than beaches further south. This area is pretty windy though, can make for some light chop, and unruly hair, that might be one reason.
Hi, In all 3 of our trips to Cancun area in DEC the weather has been pretty grey and rainy. I know many folks have great weather this time of year, it is just a craps shoot. I do not think the main pool is heated, but our swimup was pretty warm, so if not heated the small size of it retained heat nicely. Beach was good and seaweed minimal, (windy) this is pretty normal for the Costa Mujeres area.
Definitely not a family resort. My pre teen kids were so bored. Tiny pools with no entertainment for the kids. Food is average. No place to even get ice cream when the buffet is closed which only opens twice a week. Unlike other family resorts, there is not even a dedicated desert or ice cream place. This place should stop advertising as a family resort because that's not what it is. Avoid if you have kids. You've been warned..
really sorry to hear that. we are childless so it is tough for me to weigh in, but I think maybe an xcaret property has alot of action for the little ones.
I agree with you on two points. It definitely does not feel like a family resort and the buffet being closed 5 nights a week is disappointing simply because At other resorts when ive had a bad a la carte meal i just jump over to the buffet. No such luxury here. Otherwise its an awesome resort. For couples lol.
I’m using the F-18 Beta. You have helped me in the past. Question: when I load my plane with the Maverick L it is showing in my stores but not as a selectable option. Any idea as to what may be causing this? Only the MavG will show as a selectable if loaded. Thx
Hi, It has been a long time since I have laid hands on the mod, but this is sounding like maybe you need some of the supporting mods like Smart weapon systems, ect. Let me see if I can find my list
Hopefully all these links work, I am copy/paste an old comment from the full video comments : Hello, At this time I recommend F/a-18 BETA, CBA, ACE, Ace Compat, SAW, and Nimitz(If you want to do carrier based) steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=450814997 steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=463939057 steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2409760971 steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1552807725 steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2322955920 steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=643530417 However the Dev is currently updating and very soon the mod likely will not require CBA. If you are going to do carrier ops I do recommend a few quality of life mods here: steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1353364037 steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1229148157 steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1413218487
I appreciate the feedback. I have all the mods you listed as subscribed and active. I have been following all of your tutorials (thx) trying to learn as much as possible. I have also read through all of the comments trying to troubleshoot. I guess I’m going to have to go to the mod page and hit up the developers for some answers. Thanks again for your time and the time you took to do the tutorials.
Nice work on the video Dave! If i may ask, what was the room number you were in? This will be our 4th ME property so we love the product and we've enjoyed the swim ups before. My wife has mobility issues and the location of your room in the video looks ideal for us. Thanks in advance. Cheers
Rainy. We had great sun the first day, then overcast/rain the following 4 days. We also went to the area Thanksgiving a couple years prior and had similar weather :( I guess it is always a crap shoot
Hi, you will use Laser Spot track LST - I explain the process here (and then demo it at the end of linked video) ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-25U2pgMTfbA.html
It is your own private pool, (and I LOVE it, spent almost all my time in it compared to the main pool) but there are some variations; 1)The "ELEGANCE CLUB MAJESTIC JUNIOR SUITE (SWIM UP +18)"can be EITHER the basic suite, with direct stairs into a main pool and a private small tanning shelf(little 2 inch deep area of water with lounge chairs for laying) but no plunge pool OR it can be on the outfacing ends of the building (jungle view) with a larger private plunge pool and no tanning shelf. 2) the ELEGANCE CLUB SWIM UP SUITE (OUTDOOR JACUZZI 18+) can be either the basic suite, with direct stairs into a main pool and a combo small tanning shelf and small plunge pool. (this is our fave layout) OR it can be on the outfacing ends of the building (jungle view) with a larger plunge pool and no tanning shelf. if you luck out and get the main pool there is both a raised up (about 8 feet above main pool water level) plunge pool/tanning shelf configuration, or one that is flush with the main pool, separated by a partially submerged wall. there is no way to guarantee getting the main pool attached vs the jungle view, though you can request. 3) is the ELEGANCE CLUB PLUNGE POOL SUITE 18+. These have a private rooftop patio that have a large infinity type plungepool, but no tanning shelf.
I thought this was one of the AIs in Cancun where the food is one of the best. Have you been to any other AIs in Cancun where you'd say the food would be better than here at he Majestic?
Hi, the food here is good, to very good(for AIs), especially considering the price you pay. I have had superior food at two other AIs - Atelier and Zoetry Isla Mujeres. Also The food at The Excellence Cancun was prob just as good, but I have not been there in 3 years and recently heard some reports of the food quality at Excellence falling a bit. I still maintain my position that bang for your buck this resort is the best in area. I am looking to try Unico soon as I heard they have a good food program, but have not yet.
Thank you for the tip about the upper lobby. We went there in 2021. And going back this Dec. We talked friends into going this time. I can’t wait to see if there is any difference outside of Covid.
Looking for help. I cannot bind my x56 Hotas to the F-18 add on configurations. I have no problem with binding in the plane configuration bindings. The F-18 add on bindings seem only to bind to keyboard functions and not to my Hotas. I’m running the f-18 2020
Yes, I am familiar. if you are running the 2020 there is a "Two Stage" binding process. Let me see if I can find a vid that shows it. (but really you should switch to the beta, it is superior in every way)
I’m having problems binding my function buttons on my x56 Hotas to key functions in the F-18 Super Hornet add on. I can bind under the plane configurations but not under the F-18 add on configuration. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
have a look here, but I recommend switching to the beta version, it is much better and more stable, right around 2min 20 sec mark , ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-25U2pgMTfbA.html
@@Dave_ess thanks for the reply. I have switched over to the Beta version and figured out the binding. You no longer have to go specifically into the add on configurations tab to find the F-18. You can find the F-18 in the normal configurations tab. If you try to bind in the add on tab “F-18”, nothing will bind. If you bind under the normal configurations tab “F-18” it will bind. All good. What would be great now would be a video of how you bound your Hotas to the functions for the F-18. Again, I really appreciate the reply. It’s awesome when people are willing to take the time to help others.
Not the Dinner Buffet. We Did the Breakfast buffet 6 times or so, It was excellent, prob the best of any AI we have done. We did the lunch buffet at the beachside restaurant once, it was pretty good as well, but frankly we hate packing up and leaving the pool... Since we had the swim up we would usually just get room service or snacks from the club lounge for lunch.
We did not in either of my two trips here. We have stayed at the Majestics in Dominican 5 times and never had an outage there either. While it could happen to anyone and we have been lucky, I am assuming they have huge back up generators.
Only by the way i never in my life saw an A10 With hellfire 🤣 also would they say how many rounds on gun they have for mission. But everytime is the first time
