What range should progesterone levels be after a complete hysterectomy?

Sadly, I see well-known doctors right here on RU-vid, promoting and pushing progestins without providing their audience with the differences between the two. Essentially they are using those two different hormones interchangeably, so that a woman who does not know the difference will believe they are exactly the same. It is outrageous that there are actual female doctors causing harm to patients

It’s so true that these symptoms we experience change how we operate in the world. We have had confidence, we have had the ability to ask questions, take care of ourselves and others. But, when we start experiencing these symptoms we manage differently and need support to get ourselves back. Thank you for helping us through your videos!!

Please explain.."can't get out of bed". Are you talking weakness/lack of Any energy, OR depression, orrrr? I've been under chronic stress for an extended amount of time, and having ALL kinds of symptoms and problems. My thyroid is swollen. Having occasional bouts of "narcolepsy". These are just SOME of the issues.

Could I benefit from progesterone creams if I’m 52 had a full hysterectomy due to stage 1 ovarian cancer 18 years ago with zero HRT? My obgyn says just that I don’t need it. No uterus. 🤷🏼

Hi Dr, what are your thoughts on cyclical progesterone post menapause along with continuous estrogen. There are many menapause, hormone docs speaking on this. Some say that having a bleed because of this is a good thing. What are your thoughts? Thank you so much!☺️
@adgarrett1
@adgarrett1 4 месяца назад
Hi! I think it makes no sense to cycle progesterone once your in menopause. There is no evidence that having a bleed is necessary. Plus, you’re missing out on the benefits of progesterone for 1/2 the month!

Hello Dr. Garrett from Canada. WOW!!! this lady (she looks like she's in her 30's) is a WEALTH of KNOWLEDGE. THANK YOU for having her on your channel. My question is Dr. Berksen had mentioned oral micronized progesterone is not the best for uterine protection, and that vaginal is the best route for HRT. Therefore what is the most protective vaginal form of biodentical progesterone?
@jh9912

Just came across this video, because I am looking into my presription of a generic OMP. There is a lot of Confusion??? Upon looking it up in the product monologue on the Pharma Science webpage, it comes up as a progestin and many other OMP's...as well as Utogestan and Prometrium. They all contain nasty added non-medicinal ingredients. My question is I have researched compounding pharmacies and know they have to adhere to FDA guidlines and use FDA approved hormones from FDA approved hormone company providers. Only difference is compounded doesn't add all those toxic fillers and can customize hrt dosage if one needs more/less than commercially available, and if one has allergies/sensitivities can avoid those fillers. Big pharma cannot patent nor provide in the raw organic ingredients unless it is altered/denatured so therefore by that logic all compounds this example being hormones are related too produced by chemical or biochemical synthesis, would that make all BHRT/HRT synthetic progesterone/progestin ?. Bill Gates tried to patent the lemon when it was found lemon rind has huge benefits in fighting certain cancers but even Gates couldn't patent an unaltered organic substance. I know many hormone information providers/coaches warn that compounded hormones are not safe and are not FDA approved but may also add the FDA is and has been in a lot of scrutiny and legalities over v@ccines, otc and prescibed products

I’ve been on 400 mg of progesterone along with estrogen and testosterone for a long time. Recently, I had a hysterectomy complete and dropped the dose to 200 mg. Now I’m wondering if I need it at all and am just guessing at the dose. My doctor is SOOOOOOO afraid to commit one way or the other for fear 😨 f being wrong or getting sued. I don’t know what to do.

But what about the decreased risk of ovarian cancer, uterine cancer, decreased risk of osteoporosis, brain health etc, that the birth control options offer? Where are the studies to back what you are staying? Mostly, birth control offers huge benefits!

Hello, I know you can’t give personal medical advice to individuals but if a person has had a full hysterectomy, overlies and cervix removed, would they take Utrogestan every day or for 14 days and then break for 14? Thank you for this informative video!

Hello, I just started hrt a few weeks ago. I decided to take transdermal hormone, for estrogens I am using the patch and for progesterone I decided to use the vaginal suppositories. and the reason for this, is that bioidentical hormone has less side effects than the synthetic. The vaginal progesterone will protect your uterus and the fear for breast cancer is minimal because this way will focus more in the uterus without being a risk for the breast. I still think testosterone will be prescribed too together with the estrogens and progesterone. I am trying to buy online the cream for testosterone but it has been hard to find a provider. I will have to ask my doctor for a prescription so I can get it, but with this personal information, I think all women should be given the information and the option to be on hrt. Our lives are miserable when we enter the age of menopause and doctors do not help too much about this. they see as normal in our lives, yes it can still be normal but does not mean with have to stop to have a life.

Me too. It's like I am on a runaway roller coaster or a runaway train or something that has lost its breaks or can't use its breaks anymore. There are days when I sleep okay and get a full 8 hours or 9 hours of sleep and then there are days when I wake up at 2am or 3am and cannot get back to sleep and it's ridiculous. on the days I can't sleep, and I am up at 2an or 3an, I am having a cup of tea because I can't get back to sleep.( Maybe the tea I am having has some caffeine in in. Not sure. So I want to make a switch to a tea that doesn't have any caffeine) So I am trying to look for calming herbal teas to help induce sleep because I have lost a regular sleep cycle and I want to get back on track with my sleep. I am 47. Hope I can find something.
