A bit late to the party but I found your channel via Mr. Bruce Cook. You guys have beautiful territory to go wheeling. Subscribed and like button engaged.
You can (and should) start in the THIRD. Gear 1 and 2 are only for some offroad situations and hill climbing. greetings from a german Unimog 404 driver.
We daily drove a 404 for a year. Definitely want to be starting in 3rd, trying to quickly shift from 2nd to 3rd is hard on the transmission. This was purely for demonstration.
@@R4TeT It is selectable 4wd, with selectable diff locks. T-case is only one range (no hi/lo). No power steering, no power brakes and not much power in the engine. Still so much fun to drive. Max speed is about 100km/h and that takes a slight downhill.
I HATE CASEY LADELLE...!!! CASEY sent me to the laziest man in the recovery industry... The laziest man sent me to his ( deflate/ inflate. Connect/ disconnect the YANKUM.. collect payment guy )... So i subscribed to your channel because I was forced by BRUCE COOK...!!!!
So, ive gotta ask & you may have covered this at some point already but how did you get the extra suspension height? Ive got a 406 Unimog and im looking for a bit more in the front but the NOS coils are 1k usd a pop. Just wondering what you did.
We built new brackets for the axle that bolt in place of the stock spring brackets. This is how we mounted the 4 link bars too. We'll ttry to get a quick video up expaining that.
