Good day mr Ketete... I think the best way to crotch is to divide the hip by 4.. especially when sewing trouser for female... Some pretty girls have lovely shape i.e waist is 30 and hip is 43 (with this measurement how do you calculate or get the crotch (
Good day dear. So I clearly understand your point, but with my way of making female pants, I don’t use the hip to obtain my crotch depth, also when you divide the hip by 4 it works but not at all times depending on where the client wants the pants to start from (in relations to the waist) with my way of getting the crotch depth for female pants, I divide (Waist by 4 plus 3) So with your measurements you spoke about: Waist being 30 divided by 4 = 7.5 +3 =10.5” Hip being 43 divided by 4= 10.75” Which is just a quarter difference and wouldn’t create any problem when both are being used (CROTCH DEPTHS) 10.5” / 10.75” These 2 measurements are correct and can be used ONLY when the clients wants a high waisted pants. But in a situation where they don’t want it at their high waist, Instead of dividing the waist by 4 plus 3, it can be ( plus 1.5”, 2” or 2.5”) depending on where the client wants the pants to start from in relation to the waist. Some people prefer a high waisted pants and others a low waisted pants. Make time and watch my videos on how to cut a female pants if you haven’t ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-MeDdTsLxCLo.html I hope my explanation is understandable
Your tutorial video is simply simple to comprehend. Almost similar to my style of cutting. But I really learnt new approach. Thanks for sharing ur method
Yes it’s a high waist pant. Exactly as you saying.. you will consider where you want the waist of the pants to be and know either you adding 1/1.5/2 or 2.5
You will use the check measurement to derive the armhole as taught in the video With the stomach u divide into 4 and add 1/2 for ease and then into it at the tummy area
I am 6'5 tall. You mentioned that if one was taller , they should use 17 rather than 15 from the armhole. Would that apply to a 6'5 very tall person. Also wouldn't the slit be too long in an instance where I want a top length 38 inches long.
The 17 will be ok because when the slip goes down too much when the person tries to sit it feels uncomfortable…but if you make the client know about that and they are cool fine. Also some senator suits comes with the slip being below (more than 17) so with that the style calls for it.
Waist divided by 4 + 3 or 2.5 or 2 depending on where you want to waist yo be. Either right under the navel or a bit above the natural waist (How to cut female pants video) ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-hr5VrGAvZHI.htmlsi=rD7be312U3XbreCo
