An ability to read subtext or between lines should be REQUIRED for the job of 911 operator. Not everyone CAN be blunt about what's happening. A kid hiding in a bathroom cupboard shouldn't have to play 20 questions with an operator who keeps telling her to "speak up" when the robbers are IN THE ROOM with the kid

I wish I could understand how women find themselves in these situations? Aren’t there red flags before moving in together? I’m not victim blaming, just trying to understand. I truly feel sorry for women and children that are in this type of situation.
My mom was a 911 dispatcher in the 80's and she taught my sisters the pepperoni pizza code their whole lives. Every 911 dispatch in Jersey and New York know this code If you're ever in trouble and can't talk loud, away pepperoni pizza for delivery and that's the code for the fuzz to swoop in.
Băiețelul meu în vârstă de 3 ani pe atunci, când făcea poznăi ii spuneam că va suna cineva* de la 112 (nr. de urgențe al României) și el se potolea numaidecat, asta până într-o zi când a sunat el la 112 ... Și-a spus nemulțumirea legată de unchiul lui venit dintr-o altă țară, care nu i-a adus și lui o mașinuță 😅 "Cel de la 112" i-a spus : o să îl cert eu pe unchiul tău, iar data viitoare sigur îți va aduce una*, iar tu să nu mai suni la acest număr că vei primi amendă 😁🤭 Dar copilul meu a fost tare mândru că "a vorbit cu 112" 😂, moment de care își aduce aminte după 15 ani😂❤
This makes me so mad Everytime I hear how the dispatch handled this call.. Obviously shes in distress and can't talk the way she wants to and the dispatcher is just clueless.. Pretty sure she had to be trained for calls like this and she completely must have missed class that day..
Smart girl! She probably saved her own life plus the lives of everyone in a domestic violence situation at this time. Thank you for showing others how to get out of a bad situation.
This dispatcher does his job extremely well. Sorry, I just wish the female dispatchers would take other positions. They act like they would care less about the callers. That have attitudes and give the callers a hard way to go and act like they themselves need therapy.
