finally Portland got someone who can do the right decision in the attack. give him the ball and I promise everybody on the team will look better in this season.
You missed alot of nice plays from last two years, but his play can really work with a team orientated style with allot of no ball movement , pick and rolles and an athletic center. Hope the blazers are smarter than the Wizards to how to utilize him
@DreBeats_ yo tell that to the Owner GM and coaching staff because they hand picked him literally and been wanting Kris Dunn since at least 2020 before he got injured
@DreBeats_ 😆 bra he kept getting injured that's why they wanted to see how his body would hold up in the G League he's fully bounce back you'll see just watch the games frfr you'll see what he does out there 💯 🦍
Leonard doesn't have the same rep as before because he doesn't play enough to make the all-defense teams and such, but when L.A. lines up, the SF he's guarding is basically scratched from the gameplan like "that guy isn't going to let you score." Beyond that, he doesn't get as many steals because teams won't run PnR actions if he's guarding the roll man, which ruins opponent offenses when he's at the 4, and you don't even turn that corner if he's the strongside help coming off the corner to swipe at the ballhandler. Basically, he STILL disrupts offenses just by being on the court.
Given he’ll prepare for the OG next to Marine, I guess she’ll teach him the one leg stepback jumper, he’s a one leg shooter already but if he can perform that iso move with his height, it will be 100% unguardable: more space when guys like Gordon or Brooks are on him, quicker trigger. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-LHDaDF8BLW0.htmlfeature=shared
If I were on the Spurs’ coaching staff, I’d tell all the players other than Wembanyama, when we’re on defense, watch out for Victor’s blocks, those blocks give us a chance to grab the ball as a turnover. 🤔
Trae to the Spurs. Just imagine Wemby on the receiving end of some of these passes. If you're on D against that, what do you do...double Trae, double Wemby? Add to that the fact that Wemby would clean up a lot of Trae's iffy D. All Trae has to do is guide them into the Alien's lair.
I've been watching basketball for thirty-five years and I've been a Spurs fan that whole time. Often, shot blockers volleyball spike the ball five rows deep and the other team gets the ball. That doesn't help much. What separated Tim Duncan is that most of his blocks stayed in play and were recovered by his teammates. Wemby does the same thing. He's not slapping the ball into the stands. He's keeping the ball in play and often, his blocks result in transition plays for the Spurs.
In this vid alone (a sample), Vic blocked Zion, Giannis, Siakam, SGA, Holmgren, Barnes, Booker, Westbrook. Basically MVPs, MVP candidates, ROYS, all-NBA guys. What other player, much less a rookie, could lay claim to that?
