I jus purchased a 2014 ss with 6.2 an 6speed an that damn skip shift has been killing me an makes me almost want to get rid of the car so thank you for this video sir
Really appreciate all these videos. You're an excellent teacher. Over in England here with a 93 z28 import in a pretty neglected state but got a cable so can see datalog and working my way through the issues. Managed to replace egr valve and solenoid which was a nightmare for the 93😂 and replaced all the vacuum hoses as the whole thing including the air pump had been disconnected. Idling smooth and log looks normal. Will try replacing the alternator next. My favourite camaro resource 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Ah, you are too kind. just trying to be of at least a little help to those guys that have the 93 as there really is nothing out there. Including aftermarket parts. They always start at 1994 and go up. Thanks so much for watching
guys.. you are overthinking this. Buy a $35 fluke volt alert wand. You can hold it beside the spark plug wire to see if it is sending spark to the plug or signal to the coil. What I cannot explain is why so many plugs and coils fail on #4 with these 6.2 L engines. Why is it always #4??
Don't even need that. just stick your hand on the end of the wire and give a slight tug........Even if the wire is not seated all the way it can still ark the voltage. Thanks for watching
Hi. It all depends on the primer. Some fill rather big scratches while some only fill small scratches. Sand it, wipe it and look at it in good light...if you see scratches after priming, sand with higher grit. Thanks for watching
I have another question. High temp prima and regular base paint spray with high temp clear coat, should be okay on painting intake correct? Is it necessary to have temperature base paint?
Just bought a 2013 RS with 63000kms same colour as yours with the white stripes (in Toronto, Canada) it’s in great shape, really happy with it. Just subscribed to your channel.
I have a 96 Z28 6MT and the only thing i slightly dislike is the two-tone colouration on the exterior (black hardtop and mirrors) and interior (mine has a cloth beige and black one.)
@CamaroTime I have the regular key. I want to program the keyless entry fob/remote to the vehicle. I bought a used camaro and the remote was missing. I have a new remote no key and need it to work with the vehicle.
Just spent two weeks tuning my 93 pace car they built the engine and slammed it into a small area my arms and hands are cut up the spark plug wires on the passenger side is pure hell
I am assuming you changed the correct one. It could be the pump. Or it could be the guage. Do you know anyone that has an extra analog guage you can hook up temporarily to verify? Thanks for watching
THANK YOU BROTHER!! I'm about to buy a used Camaro V6. 115,890 miles for under $6,000. When I saw the dusty/rusty trunk, I thought this dealer was selling me a flooded car, I almost lost my temper. Haven't bought it yet because of that thought. But will definitely check those hoses. If it's only that, I'm buying it. THANKS AGAIN!!!!!
Be sure to have them run you a car fax report. If they don't want to that normally means they are trying to hide something. Good luck. Thanks for watching
How often during this process do you need to check the coolant resivoir level? I seen others do this with the rad cap off so they can monitor the level from the radiator directly. It makes sense not opening the rad cap to risk more air getting in. Thanks.
I would check it after doing it a couple of time. You will not lose much coolant at all. Opening the radiator cap is no issue as long as the car is running as it will be pushing coolant in that direction thereby pushing air out. But you def want to get it back on before you turn car off as it will try to suck air back in that way as it cools. Thanks for watching
I've been trying to purge my 97 lt1 Camaro but the low coolant light keeps going on. My backup tank has plenty of fluid but Radi doesn't seem to suck fluids from it. I washed the backup tank so it isn't clogged at least. Any thoughts?
@@CamaroTime Thank you for assists. Mine shut down eventually. i drove around a bit, purged a bit through the purge valve. repeat few times. the light never went off but it didn't light up after i shut down for a while. Maybe the light doesn't reset unless you shut down your engine.
@@CamaroTime Thank you once more from all of your camaro videos. I spent a week wrenching on my 4th gen as a..beginner merchanic. Survived replacing sparkplugs, sparkplug wires, installing tcc valve block kit on my gearbox. rear brakes, heat sensor etc. Your videos came in handy during this time.
It’s a 1993 z28 5.7 and I ordered the new piece but I’m wondering if you know if Chevy used a brake switch stopper(little plastic piece) that keeps it from permanent connection on most cars I’ve seen. I orders a few anyway in case I need. I’ve been fighting electrical issues that keep draining my battery and hopefully this is the one I’ve been missing
I hope you get it resolved. Thos e battery drain issues can be a bear to find......If that does not fix it, open hood, shut doors, etc and let it sit for about 15 minutes. Then you can go to the fuse box under hood and check voltage draw. There should only be VERY minimal on any one circuit....If you can not find anything open door and let sit for about 15 minutes. That way the car goes into sleep mode and shuts off all the lights, etc. .Repeat the process on all the fuses inside the car. Hopefully you will find one that is drawing too much power and that will be your issue.
Thank you very much. Just makes it a little more personal. Oh wow. I remember those days. I kicked it back a couple notches and only have a 12 inch sub in the Z and only running about 500 amps. Thanks for watching
Thank you very much. This is a very touchy subject on YT. ask 10 people get 100 different answers. LOL......Here is my opinion. Everything under the hood is water resistant. NOT WATER PROOF. It has to be because we drive our cars in rain, snow, and some live in damp , muggy areas. So moisture will build up. So yes, you can do it. Buttttttt,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,be careful. It is best to wrap electronics with plastic before doing so. But I do not do it. Here is a video on how I do mine. Never had a single issue ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-unMY1QlG8LE.html Thanks for watching
Excellent. The stuff is a wonderful product. I would use some warm soapy water and a brush to clean the seats first. Then apply it.....Thanks for watching
@@CamaroTime thanks for the tips! I ended up using a liberal amount last night on my black leather side bolsters and they’re cracked and I’ll be damned! I came out to the garage this morning to see the cracks were almost completely gone already and the lithium Leather love somehow brought back the missing black color as well where it was cracked. This stuff is seriously magical. I do recommend to use more than directed if you’re not getting a better result after applying the product.
SO very glad to hear that..........Please if you will, send Lithium a message and tell them your experience. They love hearing constructive criticism and good outcomes....The stuff does work wonders.....
Well, you going to have to look to see if you have those drains there for anything else. if not, then it could only be a few things. Leaking window seal, trunk gasket, etc......Thanks for watching
Straight to the point...love it❤. 2011 HunA. I see the blue pieces right away... quick hack...press the break all the way down and put a quarter in between that part until you can make it to the part store in the morning). Thanks so much...unk
My pleasure. Just trial and patience.....If you have an extra painted part lying around that would be a great place to build confidence. If not check your local body shop. Ask for a bad piece out of the trash and why you want it.......But most important thing to remember is to check the temp when you first start doing it. You do not want the panel warm to the touch..........Thanks for watching
Noticed difference with 1st step! I know the drill, my Camaro is black and just looking at it causes dust. Hope tomorrow will have better air quality for your final steps, Pete!
