I had no idea German chocolate was a thing! I was just like you, thought it was the coconut/icing. That choc drizzle looked over the top good!!!!! GCC is my favorite cake. This looks like an excellent twist. Thank you for this. -Marc
Ashley can I adjust the recipe to a mile high since I have my new pan? If so, can you direct me to the amount of ingredients to make the adjustments ? THANKS
Yes you cam. I haven't made the mile High version of this cake but to start you need 4 c flour, 4 c sugar, 10 eggs, 4 sticks of butter and you can play around with the recipe from there.
It looks delicious. I still haven't had any joy, but I do glance at the group page every now and then. This grieving is a lot, but I am leaning on God for His help.
When you make the custard you separate the yolk from the white! Also you vook it on one pot over another pot containing water so it doesnt scarch! You have to use a strainer as well! Use plenty of bananas amd cookies and add plenty of custard to cover everything! Top layer ends with namanas then topped off with some Cool Whip put in fridge to set then enjoy! Next day after it all set is just heaven!!
It came out perfectly delicious. I tried to upload it to your pc page on fb but it was declined for some reason 🤷🏽♀️. Anyway thanks for the tasty recipe. Rookie big back
It's a beautiful cake . You mentioned that the bottom of your bowl sometimes wasn't mixed. Did you know that there is a screw on the KitchenAid mixer that it just the depth of your mixer stem so that you can set how high or how low you want it
