For 50 years, Coast Mental Health has empowered people living with mental illness by providing three essential pillars of recovery: Housing, Support Services and Employment. We know people living with mental illness can and should thrive in our community.
The Courage To Come Back Awards celebrate individuals from across British Columbia who have demonstrated outstanding courage in their recovery from illness and adversity. With each story, differences are celebrated, abilities in all people are recognized, and personal achievements are honored.
not to be a bummer but this guy has done some f**cked up things from what i've heard. putting a knife to a womans throat to rob her, abused his girlfriend etc. he is acting like a victim here, but he was absolutely an abuser as well. you kinda gloss over that. i know if he was my abuser, i wouldn't be good for my mental health seeing him praised like this. i'd like to know how much the bc ndp are paying him to endorse their drug programs. i know hes getting paid to speak etc. sorry, just playing devils advocate here.
Congratulations Dayley! I am so glad that you found some help at the Coast Mental Health Clubhouse and you got to meet some new friends there too. I am so proud of you!
I remember skiing with Maia when I was a kid. And a couple years ago, reconnecting with her and realizing she’s the funniest person I ever met and feeling so safe and comfortable with her. As a goofy autistic girl, it’s hard to find people like that. I wish so much we could have spent more time together. I’m grateful to still be friends with her little brother. This whole family is really great❤
I feel honoured and grateful to have seen this. We never know how far and wide our experiences will impact others. There isnt really a way for me to fully articulate how I felt hearing you share your story. I think its an experience that is on some other level of existence. I think of the loss you have had to endure. and how do you do it? Im not sure I would have had that will. im glad you did though. maybe if i see enough people speaking out, it will get a little easier
my heart is warm watching this and I am crying. there are parts of your story that I can relate to so deeply, how could I not be inspired by you Danielle. Keep it up
Thank you for having the courage to admit that you were vulnerable as have so many of us have been. As someone who has been there, I am grateful to you
Icon by cheating on her husband when she went abroad on higher studies with a guy her son's age? gaslighting into making everyone think her husband is a monster and finally her husband committed suicide in jail and her eyes are just fine she isn't damaged like she makes it out to be..These kind of 304s shouldn't be looked up to as a role model. She is a complete disgrace.
Everyone is crying after hearing the story of one side. She cheated on her husband after 17 years of marriage. So her husband fights with her. As she was a teacher she had power and she used it. She had her husband arrested by the police and a day after her arrest, her husband could not accept these things and committed suicide.
Wow, you are an incredible human. Upwards and onwards for you and your journey. Thank you for being vulnerable and sharing part of your journey. Love & light

I still have my team pennant signed by the entire Kamloops Blazers roster from the 91-92 season that I acquired in Seattle during the Memorial Cup. It was autographed by all the players including Scott, Daryl, and COREY!
