I'm Kelsey (the "iTech Whisperer") and I make videos that help you use your iPhone.

In case you're wondering about my channel name:
"iTech" refers to Apple technology (similar to how you associate iPhone with an Apple smartphone)

Method 3 was super useful. Thank you! iOS 17.5.1 update made it so the swipe down gesture only brings up siris suggestions which is so dumb. Also assistive touch can be used to get to the control center as well. Just wanted to mention that.

Such a stupid design… makes the screen bigger and switches cc to the too from bottom… Gonna be so annoying.

Yes, any kind of charging attempt will turn it on.

Is the switch on the left side of your phone showing orange? If so, try switching it to the other position. If not, you’ll need more troubleshooting help than I can provide. Apple support should be able to help.

How to pause in the middle of a recording with that recorder?

If you tap on the red oval / time in the upper left corner, it pauses. However, you cannot use your phone while it pauses. Just tap cancel (instead of stop) to resume recording.
