The humidifiers are tremendously important, there is a surprisingly large amount of moisture that comes out from the patient the other is the amout of heat loss that from every breath, remember the Machine delivers cold dry air. A way Anesthesiologist Don't like the dead space by the elbow, therefore you can put the humidifier in the expitory limb it is not as effective as having It by the elbow tlbut it still helps
Heated circuits are used in CVOR for patients with pulmonary hypertension. There are a few cases like LVAD and Heart Transplants where the circuits can be set up prior to the case, but the majority of cases nitric is decided on during the case, and it can be a hassle to get together while a patient is under anesthesia and all eyes are on you.

This is great, but every hospital varies on where they keep their supplies, and this is more universal for techs all around the nation, at south all these supplies can be grabbed from respiratory workroom in CVICU outside of the OR, but can vary in many places.
