The rise of fast fashion and the demand of cheap synthetic materials have woken me up to appreciate traditional organic textile. Until I recently developed shortness of breath and asthma problem all of a sudden I dig deep into the rabbit hole of environmental poisons and the effect it has on our health. Little did I know the winter scarf that I wore for many years made from acrylic was when I realize I've been breathing in all that micro plastic fibers and toxic chemicals into my lungs. Now I have slowly phased out as much synthetic materials out of my life as possible. The cost for organic sometimes might be a little higher but it's probably best in the long run. Great video. I think there needs to be more truth and awareness videos like this to change the market for people to opt into a healthier one.
For all of you homesteader types or even just home gardeners. 1. The plant looks nice from a distance. 2. The plant is supposed to repel colorado potato beetles. 3. The plant is easy to grow and easy to get seeds from. 4. I personally have thrown seeds around that I just got for 50 cents a pound at a grocery store and the plant grew easily and reseeded the following year by itself. No tilling. No digging. It was bad soil. So there is more cost in not growing it, potentially.
Thank you for this thorough explanations of the process. I think the music is too loud and at times I couldn't understand a word here and there. I wish that the whole RU-vid community of content creators did not use music at all; or to keep it low, way too low so that the spoken words are not lost. Thanks.
