The first bowler to use the doosra successfully at the top level. When he burst into the scene all the off spinners were trying to bowl variations. He inspired Murali and others to turn the ball both ways. A significant player in the history of the game. Then he just sort of faded away. He was never called for chucking and always bowled with a straight arm. Don’t think he had a major injury either. He had the talent to go down as the clear third best spinner, but it didn’t happen. The brightest stars burn out quickly.
Its 2024 now , Pakistan has no pace battery, a comedian 6ft 6 , 128 kph trundler shaheen Afridi, No spinner after yasser Shah, and always horrible at Batting and terrible at firlding. Ironically India would whitewash Pakistan in both Pakistan and India today 😊😊😊😊.....but choose not to play, I would say to them play, and dominate like Pakistan once did to them in 80s and 90s....anyway I am not a politician so it is what it is , today India sits at 1 and 2 mostly in tests and Pakistan at 8 or 9.........we have produced no fast bowlers since retirement of Gul, shoaib....and no batsmen like Inzi, yusuf and younis
The gladiator is paying a huge physical price for the entertainment he displayed on cricket screen spending his retired life on prosthetic joints😢 thank u shoaib akhtar🙏

@ShafHussain that is one of the reasons. He simply lost love of the game. Mind he was in his 20's when he retired so injury was never the biggest reasonm
