I'm Ms. Livoti and I'm a secondary art educator in my 16th year of teaching. I teach art full time in a public school in Long Island, NY. I hold a Masters in Studio Art from NYU, and my BFA is in Art Education (k-12) from LIU Post. I teach Studio Art, Drawing and Painting, and AP Drawing.
My videos focus on techniques for art educators to utilize as a way to support their lessons and instructional methods. My goal is to provide insight into lessons/techniques that have helped me with my classes. Most of my videos are for students to use during our class to help them with procedures/techniques while they're working.

Wow, just wow. Sorry to say, but this has no artistry, it looks like a cheap wallpaper. It's like about 20% of what is needed towards painting bamboo. They are not realistic leaf patterns either.
After selecting ctrl-T , when I drag the corner the image it will be distorted and will not expand to fill the canvas. How did you make it expand in size ?
I try to make sure to zoom into the image then select one corner and drag in a diagonal direction- sometimes with medibang paint when the image is very small, it will distort it when enlarging and stretch it to a side/horizontally.
Thank you for the good information. It might help if when doing and demonstrating what NOT to do, you had a notation in the video as such... a big red X or something like that.
I like to use a heavyweight paper with some texture for colored pencil like the Canson Mixed Media paper, and I also like Canson Mi Tientes paper because it's very textured and holds a lot pencil layers and allows for burnishing. I would just avoid using smooth papers, as they won't hold a lot of layers of colored pencil.
I was in Chinese brush painting classes and I remember hating it as a kid because when I was younger, I didn't think it was "real" art and made my parents take me out of the class. Now I wish I stayed because this type of painting is genuinely really pretty.
You may be able to download a desktop version of medibang paint for PC, I am not sure though because I am not familiar with the PC platform. But Medibang paint is a free app, should be available.
My apologies- this video was originally intended for students to watch in class without sound since they didn't have headphones. I may try to voice over it soon!
