I miss it a lot it would be a great game on the new consoles it's crazy to think they just took it down there's not many games to this day with as many upgrades you can unlock there was so much depth to it

Wish they'd let people that aren't Omega. Seems weird that CCP is branching out from anything they've done so far, but limit it severely. Need to let people that are familiar with games like what it is so they can pick it apart which leads to a more successful launch.

just an other extraction shooter but behind the wave. the peak was Helldivers imo. and I won't play if i can't play my dropship.... never found a game where i could drop people on battlefield with a dropship. best feeling ever
I think the extraction element is overblown, it's probably just the quickest game mode they could implement. To me the missions credits being worth way more than anything you can loot and the inability to upgrade your gear in match means it doesn't fit the extraction mould
Still no Gunnlogi or Madrugars, flaylock pistols, bolt guns, laser rifles, swarm launchers, scrambler rifles, forge guns and so forth. This game just feels so dry even the Dust 514 Beta (early 2013 build) was way better than this and I remember playing it for hours on end while I only played Vanguard for less than an 30mins before i got bored. CCP has really let us down with Vanguard, why couldn't they just take what made Dust 514 good and just transfer it over?
@@junotristan There is a guy working on a Dust 514 Server Emulator so there might be a massive chance that it might see a revival on PC similar to how Demon Souls is still being kept alive.
This was such a great game the tanks and dropships were just amazing even the little cars with mines strapped to the front honestly best game I ever played
I loved the variety in the game, for individual matches there was always a different approach you could take like bringing out the tanks or a speedy uplink dropping scout. Longer term there was always something new to skill into and different ways to optimise your dropsuit loadouts
I miss this game. I do have hope we will have some flying vehicles and tanks in a future VG updates. Keep up the good work and see you all in the next test phase. Dust Bunnies 4 EvR!
Targeting consoles definitely opened them up to a new audience, it's why I started playing, so it did have positives! I'd say it's more about how they went about developing it, they needed to embed the idea all throughout the game that "we will need to port this to the next gen". When the PS3 died quicker than expected they scrambled to cobble something together (Legion) and prematurely killed their player base with the Rouge Wedding

Definitively unexpected. The NPCs were the wild card this play test, sometimes you'd get a double spawn other times they'd be chasing you across the map
There's a change from the Dec/Jan play tests, in Feb you could repeat missions but only some were actually able to be repeated. For example in The Core you could not reactive the 5 Power conduits you did previously. Scattered remains was repeatable though, hence the 1337 leaderboard scores
i kid but this video is great. I think you are wrong about the match timer. I timed several and it was always 5 minutes from a fresh session until the 2/4 warning then 15 till 3/4 then another 15 till 4/4 then the last 5 minutes. Its not influenced by anything as of the end of the February test.

It really depends on the opposing player's experience with it, if they'd not encountered before they would leave themselves exposed, if they knew how it worked they might rush you for the kill
The headshot sound was much more muted in Vanguard, which is bit surprising given how crunchy some of the audio was in places. Walking through the frozen *stuff* will give you ptsd
