I did same way but after I was done saw middle of the frame bent inwards both sides making space on one side I redid leaving screen free n loose same thing please advise

Thank you for the video! Great help in my endeavor to repair my old VinylMax double hung replacement windows. I could not determine the best place to make the cuts in the vinyl track for the balance shoe replacement. Now on to try and find a replacement balance shoe.
Good to know what those pads are for, thanks. But my problem is with the vinyl jamb liner prices - so far priced more than I pay for the complete, brand new, Pella double hungs. The essential springs and miscellaneous stuff are very cheap, (reasonable), it’s the vinyl channels that cost. Being a carpenter thinking of making the channels out of wood - for the seven windows (!) The original liners, now breaking apart were for Brosco wood frame, double glazed, double hungs. {Is anything easy?}
I hit a soccer ball on the frame, after looking up this video I told my Dad and he fixed it in less than a minute, never playing soccer next to the house again!
Folks I sure do appreciate you posting this for people to be able to do their own work on these vinyl windows. The fact of the matter is this fix can work on any vinyl window that has the same basic components. Again thanks a lot for sharing this information showing an experienced window repair guy, makes a big difference when it's done by video!

This is a great video about the best window in the industry and the people are just as great! I really enjoyed watching this and I miss selling these windows as well!
I'm assuming because the frame is a very thin metal, it's just more likely to hold a bend. Ngl I thought my frame was plastic. Definitely feels like plastic.
Good video. If you don't have the wrench shown you can just pop off the arm with a flat tip screw driver by just placing the tip under and poping up. Then you can just use a normal open end wrench to make the adjustment. Only pop off one arm at a time and make sure its on again before doing the other one.
