A single rig in the bottom of the lake or river without a proper baiting around it has very low efficiency. Please take in consideration that a carp can eat up to his third of his weight PER DAY. To have an epic fishing trip depends on the bait amount in order to bring the fish around your rigs. Once the fish are around, the rigs job will kick in. :)
Yes, some countries don't allow 2 hook rigs. We have the Medusa Rig as alternative, here: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-va39V4r5YPM.html
Well, a short answer would be that during spring when fish start their metabolism and spawning time, is shallow waters. The rest of the year, including winter, deep water is the pest place to fish.
For sure you will need a knife lol, the rest is just clean water for the cleaning part. For cooking the fish, the list can be endless. :) You should start with salt :)
For carp fishing the most common bait is boilies. These can be all types and flavors. For other fish, corn, tiger nuts, maggots, worms, liver for catfish etc.
Depending on what fishing you desire, you can get a specific setup. For carp fishing for example you will need a big pit reel, 10000 to 14000 and a 3lbs to 3.75lbs carp rod. For catfish you need way stronger rods and for whitefish you will need light feeder equipment.
Depends where and when you fish and of course, what you fish for. :) If you go for big fish, night fishing when small fish are not so active it's the best solution. During the day, it's recommended to find deep waters to avoid small fish. On the other hand, maybe some fisherman just want to get whitefish. :)
"Must" is a strong word. Please take in consideration that a lot of people do it the other way around. The reason for this is that the fish can't spit the hook out on first bite because it will be very unpredictable hooking. Disadvantage is that in the drill, the fish might get loose. We saw a lot of people using it like this in competitions where each bite was critical.
