What a wonderful tutorial! I have added this pattern to my growing list of stitches!!! Thank you very much! I absolutely love this pattern and the stitches are so easy to keep count of. I wish I were able to upload a picture of the scarf that I'm working on, but I cannot find a way to post it here. Thanks again!
@@benjamin4394 💕 thank you so much!! I agree, it's a easy yet gorgeous stitch. Would love to see your scarf, does posting on Instagram interest you? My page is - instagram.com/yarnstitchcolour?igsh=MXAzdnI0aHE0MmFqMg==
Great instructions and the tip about the long stitch for simple and the short for knit was a game changer for me.I put off doing alternate stitches because I always forget which is which,so thank you very much.😊
Hello, nice tutorial. I would like to ask you about the double ended resin hooks. Are you satisfied using them? I will start practicing the tunisian technique and I have seen these hooks at Etsy. Thank you for your time and help.
Hello, thank you so much! The resin hooks are great, would have loved slightly shorter ones though for working in the round. Have used wooden and bamboo ones too. But i prefer resin for a good glide.
Thank you very much for your response. Very much appreciated. 😊 Do you think that hooks with a cable would be more handy than straight double ended hooks? Thanks a lot 😊
@@annitagalvan9049 maybe, a bit handy in few situations. Like if you are making a smaller tube, then the straight hook would jet out... But the cable's end with other hook would just dangle... Hope I made some sense and paint a picture of the said situation 😂
I'm not sure if I got it right. 😊 Do you mean that the hooks with a cable are best for bigger projects? For example, the one in your tutorial, in the beginning of the video, the fuchsia/orange color, is it made with a straight hook or with a cabled hook? Thanks a lot for your help. 😊
Recently, I also want to learn the cable stitch pattern that the cable looks like heart shape. Can you have time in the future to make a tutorial on this pattern ? I am just a new crotchet beginner but your tutorial is really slow and patient enough for beginners to follow.
I like this herringbone pattern ver mich but I had watched several videos for crocheting this herringbone stitch in the past two months, I can worked it out. Your tutorial is the one that finally helps me work it out. Thank you so so so much.❤
These are lovely and you explained very welcome how to finish and sew in the last stitch of last row, thank you, i must must remember, so neat. Will definitely make these. Have you made fingerless gloves using Tunisian circular hooks? And especially creating the thumb hole? I'm trying new ways in Tunisian crochet and have no clue how to do that 😊
Thank you for this tutorial! I just recently got back into crocheting and I been trying to find a pretty stitching I like for my baby girl blanket that I'm making for her. This is beautiful and you explain it in a way I can follow you easy and you go slow enough for me especially being a newbie, or coming back into the crocheting world, thank you!!!💜💜💜
Very kind of you ☺️❤️ to share such a sweet comment! Welcome back to the beautiful world of crochet, am sure your baby girl will enjoy the blanket very much ❤️❤️
I have similar thick wool yarn. I tried making a scarf ( but it's kinda stuff). Then I made into a top, it doesn't look good . Kindly make a loose ( with gap) muffler or something: pattern 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🎀🎀🎀🎀🎀🫶🏻🫶🏻🫶🏻🫶🏻❣️❣️❣️❣️❣️❣️🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
Beautiful patterned granny square. Your instructions are very good. Showing your work after each structure of pattern really helped. Thank you for sharing. 💖
This tutorial was great! Thank you so much for making this video. You did such a a great job of explaining and showing what needs to be done to create the herringbone pattern. 💚
Thank you so much for asking this :) i missed out sharing the bind off! Okay, so here it is - Insert for TSS and slip stitch, next insert of TFS in next spaces (as was done to make the pattern) then slip the last loop pulled up by TFS through the 2 loops on the hook. Repeat till the end and close the edge stitch with slip stitch inserting behind the 2 bars as usual.
I want to thank you so much for this tutorial. It’s very well done and I learned a beautiful new stitch. I would love listening to you reading to me every night before bed. You’re so calm and you have a lovely voice.
I love this stitch and yours is the first tutorial on herringbone that includes that third “bar” or loop so you don’t get a line on the back side. Very clear explanation, thank you! This seems to create a very dense fabric-if I wanted to make a more draping fabric for a throw, for instance, would I just go up multiple sizes on the hook?
Thank you 😊 for your kind comment! For a drapey fabric, use a thinner yarn (am using a bulky here). If you go up a hook size the diagonal lines won't have a good tension, they'll look loose. Use a yarn with more number of ply so that the yarn is ' rounder'....& The effect will be perfect lines n drapey fabric. Sorry for a lengthy answer 😶
What brand Tunisian hooks do you use? I’m using a boye, but it’s very long. I’d like to get some with the cable, but can’t decide on the brand. I use Susan Bates ergonomic hooks for regular crochet, but can’t find her brand for Tunisian crochet.
I use knitpro trendz interchangeable hooks (made of resin/ acrylic) and knitpro mindful collection swivel cord - that's been my favourite forever. In my experience too, the long ones are tiresome to work with, interchangeable ones are so much better.
