These are my eye shapes! For years, I did the super thick eyeliner on the momolid and despised how it looked. I'm so excited to try this out. Thank you! Also, you're gorgeous and your eyeshadow is flawless. Thanks again!
Clean your kettles 😂 That's a great use for lemons! I'm sorry this has happened to you again. I'm glad you're in high spirits despite the challenges. It's great to see you vlogging. Thanks for sharing. Moving is tedious. Hope all goes well. Blessings!
Oh no! I'm sorry this is happening again and at the start of the new school year. 😣 I was here last time too. I hope the new place from the viewing works out, or an even better place, and I'm glad Mr B is able to help this time. 😡 at the landlord...
Hey Gerry, I’m really sorry to hear it’s happening again! When you mentioned “Get home…” in the video, I immediately thought you might be facing another move due to the land person. I recall how challenging it was last time. I hope this experience is much smoother for you. Sending lots of positive thoughts your way. ❤️❤️❤️
Yes. I was here. Been with you since 2014. When life gives me lemon, I remind myself of worst time. And then I don't feel so bad. Also, you are much stronger than you think you are so I am sure you will survivie another move. It's a shame though because you made your present home such a comfy and personalized place. Have you ever considered a tiny home? Many people in high rent cities or areas looked into tiny homes. Wishing you the best, always. Love your vlogs.
Yes! I'd be interested in that later on in life. I went to a tiny home convention/show a few years ago and that really solidified my interest. It's not viable at this moment with me needing to be right in the city (I don't drive) but it's on my bucket list!
Gerry, I was here when 'this' happened last time... I'm sorry it's happening to you again, it's such a stupid time of year - just after the holidays, on the day that you went back to work 😠 Thankfully, this time you have Mr B to help 👍 Please, stay positive and take just one step at a time 🤗
Hi from Bellingham 😂 your video came across my feed as I was prepping dinner and imagine my surprise when I look up and see you at TJ’s and Makeworth! If you haven’t already tried them, I also recommend Cafe Blue in Fairhaven and Camber in downtown on your next visit ❤
OMG no waaaaay! Hahaha I love that. I think Camber was something I had bookmarked and we'll certainly be back in town again so now I'm double highlighting that one.
They are are the sweetest! I have a coworker who has a bun and I pet sat over the summer to get a feel of them as house companions. It took a few days for the little guy to get comfortable and then really made it personality known. Please leave an update if/when you are ready to have another bun again :)
@@WeekendsWithG That's really cool that you got to pet sit a bunny! They do so many cute and fun things. 😊 Our 3 each had their own unique personalities even though they were sisters from the same litter. They are really great indoor pets because they don't make noise, keep themselves groomed and clean, and are easily litter-trained! 😊
🐻! I have both a passport size TN (in limited edition navy blue leather! 😍) and a regular size one in camel. Honestly I haven't figured out the best way to utilize them yet because I'm not a journaler nor keep a physical calendar/planner, but I just love special and charming stationery goods, plus I had a friend buy them for me in store in Tokyo, so I treasure them very much. 😊 I think I may just put random stuff in them (a sketch here, a haiku there) when inspiration strikes, rather than designate them for any particular use or purpose. Hope you enjoy your TN journey! 😊
Mr B!!! Thanks for introducing him so that we can have a name to go with the occasional voice. 😁 Can't wait to see all the adventures you two go on together. 😊 What did you think about the TJ's products you picked up? We have and enjoy both of those seasonings. We are blessed with no fewer than 3 TJ's within a 15 min drive, so I shop there regularly and have many favorites. If you find yourself across the border again soon, the two highest recommendations I can give are their bake-at-home frozen chocolate croissants (as good as a bakery in Paris!), and their hash browns (they look like the McD ones in shape) *if* you have an air fryer - they turn out as good as ones fresh from the drive-through. 😁😋
I think the seasonings are pretty good, although now our Costco also sells their version of Everything But Bagel. It's a bit overwhelming with the selection in the sense that everything "looks new and different" because of their in house art/packaging. We will probably have to bring ice in a cooler if we are bringing anything from the freezer section but that's definitely something to consider! Thanks for the recommendations :)
🔥 Wow that camp stove is really nice! What a great meal to have outdoors! Totally makes sense to prep the veggies and use Chinese sausage and salted duck egg as the proteins - super tasty and avoids the complication of raw meat. Santouka Ramen is the best! We have one inside a local Japanese grocery store nearby. I'm partial to their spicy ramens. The charsiu is so good! I'm gonna have to see if our location has the housemade pudding desserts! 😋
🍯! Fun vlog! Sorry I'm catching up so a bit late to watching it. The JT concert looked awesome! What was the soup base you used for the tonkotsu ramen? 😋
It's called "E-BARA | e-Basic Tonkotsu Ramen Soup"... I'm not too sure if it's a popular brand or not. Our local Asian market put it on promo a while back since it was a new item. You get quite a few servings from the bottle though so it's excellent value for an "instant" meal.
Thanks for stopping by! I've been trying to use up some older products, it's the Kerastase Nectare Thermique mixed with Kerastase Chronologiste Huile de Parfum...(gosh these fancy French names). I received them from PR years ago when I was a beauty blogger but I would spend my own money on the Nectare Thermique for blow drying.
Gerry, although Mr B wants to stay incognito - all the best for both of you! 🤗 That new SPF - your face does look like you've got a little bit of something on (as in make up) so I think it does give you a fresher look... By the way - you look lovely with that delicate make up on, eyeshadows look brilliant, they suit you 👍 Omg, I remember Skinfood concealer 😁 I was in Tk Maxx the other day (I live in Scotland) and I saw Skinfood face masks that I remembered from years and years ago: one was black sugar and the other one was egg white pore mask, I smiled to myself 😃 Ps. Gerry, I've been watching you for years 😍 and I know that you had tough time last year but now I can see you smiling more often and I see sparkles being back in your eyes and I hope it continues 😘 🍦
It's funny you mention TK Maxx because I've seen people in other countries refer to it as slightly different variations. When I go to the USA, it's TJ Maxx, in Vancouver it's called Winners/Homesense but I'm sure it's the same thing marketed differently around the world. It's a fun spot to browse for surprises as you never really know what you'll find! As for the makeup, I'm still trying to find a look that I like for everyday...and some days I like it, on other days I'm not so sure but I'm motivated by your encouragement!
Yes, we'll be okay over here - thank you! The river/flooding situation in the news is about 6 hours away in the interior of the province. It's been a bit of a mess for other parts of BC this summer :(
Did you pick up the full size or the passport? I know some people love TNs so much that they have a whole collection... haha I am not there yet though.
I’ve been using the Nuxe reve de miel for over a year now and the one thing that got me into it is the smell 🤤😂 is has a very warm delicious honey cake smell that melts into your face and is super soft on my sensitive skin, I’ve had urges to taste it ngl 😂😂
Always great to hear from you, Gerry! I'm a long time follower too. I hope the challenges you've been dealing with are finally starting yo ease up, and that you have a great summer break. Looking forward to hearing your reviews on these new products!
Ahh, I remember those beauty blogger days so well! The first video of yours I watched was about the differences between Korean and Western BB creams, and I ended up buying the Skin79 and Mizon ones because of your reviews! 😂 I never liked Cetaphil either-I thought it was way too slimy, and I felt the same about the moisturizers. After COVID and all the price hikes, I started looking for drugstore makeup options or just going makeup-free. Lately, I’ve been loving the Maybelline Fit Me Matte + Poreless Foundation. It often goes on sale at SDM for $8.99, which is a great deal! I also really like the Milani Conceal + Perfect Foundation, which sometimes goes on sale at Superstore for $10.99, so that’s not bad either. I haven’t tried press-on nails, but I’m a huge fan of nail stickers! They last pretty well when I use a top coat, though I do find myself picking at them sometimes. If I can resist the urge, they stay on really nicely! Glad to hear you're enjoying summer break! :)
