Welcome to Learn Audacity, an audio resource for podcasters and audiobook narrators who use Audacity as their audio editing software. I am a guest Audacity instructor at Harvard University online school. I also teach Audacity Step-By-Step: Beginner to Advanced and ACX Audiobook Production Using Audacity at AudacityBootcamp.com. From beginner to advanced, this channel is loaded with instructional videos on the many features of Audacity and how to employ them in your own podcasts and audiobook production. This was so helpful, thank you so much. I grossed myself out hearing all the mouth sounds and thought working on narration is going to be a nightmare! lol Good stuff!
My audacity doesn't have an "ACX check." I assume it's an add-on. When you use something that isn't standard, could you tell us how to get it? Or how to do the same thing with what we have?
I've done all those settings, and nothing has been happening, still showing me on ACX check -132 db. It's been hours I'm trying to change it. but I can't. anyone can help me please!!!!
Hi, I came across this video because I spent all day yesterday and half the night trying to fix the low noise floor on my recordings. Thank you for this solution. I'm going to try it now. Do you have any videos that address the opposite...too noisy?
No disrespect but there is no de clicker or de esser for Mac. You probably are running some bogus app and not a reliable plug in. The LOW PASS filter is the proper way to go. No offense but try to be more punctual for the viewers because this was complete misinformation and a waste of time.
Thank you so much! You're the first person to explain this in a way that made sense, and now I am having SO MUCH less frustration in post-recording editing. I appreciate you immensely.
thank you so much i seen more than video to understand High/Low pass filters basic understanding and you were the one who explained it clearly. This is the power of teachers!
Thanks so much for making this video! I was wondering about this compatibility issue because when I Google about RX 10 and Audacity being compatible, Audacity says no. Good to hear from you that you are able to use RX10.
if you have -19 Lufs for audio broadcast/speaking ............ what would be a good number to use for a full band with vocals?? My recordings are always weak & not loud enough even bouncing into the red on recording.
