I'm not sure which number video this is for me in regards to watching this channel, but I've watched a decent amount. I appreciate that this man is a proper fan of Red Wing footwear. I have personally come to my own conclusion that they might be the best brand. I have the bigger over built more expensive Pacific Northwest boots, and I just see a major value in comparison. Red Wing is a winner.
I have 2 of each of my favourites, one of these with cork sole, the new ones have vibram soles! I take à size 8 UK, my freind purchased some, he takes a size 11 eee, they look better being wide. When he first saw a size 11d, he said no way! But liked the look of the wide! And now that is all he ever wears!
I use saphire products to clean and protect them. They stay the same, and water proof! I have been out in all weather and they still look great. One of my favourites!
I have these and the rough neck, I wish the iron rangers were in briar oil slick. It's the colour. I have some cigar beckmans that had oil spilt on the toe and left black lines on the toe. So I dyed them. They are the darkest brown I have seen. And everyone asks were I purchased them! But wish I could get iron rangers in this colour, they would look wicked!
Me again. Yesterday I scored a brand new pair of Willistons in Teak Featherstone for $150.00 Canadian! That's $109.53 in U.S. dollars!!! 🤗😀🥳One of the best boot buying weeks of my life!
Just bought a new Ebony pair today for $125.00 CDN ($91.52 USD)! The Red Wing store I just happened to be walking by found them in the storage room and cleared them out. I'm very happy!
@@CJCook This store had a good selection of discontinued models, but the Ebony Merchant was the only one in my size. They still have one more pair. I almost feel like going back and buying the other pair too... I don't think my wife would appreciate that though.
Fantastic video, thank you. Appreciate the close-ups as well as the "on the street" footage. So many people fail to include angles and shots that let us know what the boots look like while on!
You should show them how they look the day after. Now witht he fresh oil on it, you seem to loose a bit of that grainy look. But maybe after they dried a bit, you got it back?
As I watch this I can't help but think about your Red Wing Farmers (I think) that got oil on the toe. I don't think many people can transition between boots and cooking, but you nailed it. The fig bacon jam sounds interesting.
Hello there, Loved your video so much I went ahead and order the exact same boot. But when I received mine they weren’t nearly as shiny as yours. Any recommendations??
Missed you man.... bet they're the most comfortable, triple stitched cauliflower scall........ okay CJ, bit confused here.... it's Saturday evening in the UK and i might be a bit drunk, but i trust you and i'm still open to your recommendations.....
I love this red color of the boot but gore Tex really limits when i could wear these. I have sweaty feet and 90% of the time unless it's raining heavily, these don't breathe well enough to be worth it
Is the brim floppy or flimsy? I really like the distressed look, but I don’t want a flimsy brim. I prefer the snapped up all around look. Any info appreciated. Thanks
I have both, and the blacksmith is my favorite! Both took about a half day to break in and both are very comfortable! Iron rangers get most of the dirty work and blacksmiths get the light duty work!
@@CJCookthank you, i just received my first pair of Rios, in my brannock size, & wanted to start breaking them in without the insert but that turned out a bit loose in the instep/heel slip so i am trying to figure if the insert will fill that space without affecting toe space much or should i try thicker socks first to see if this will do without needing to use the insert that came with it
I’ve been wearing western boots since…. But stopped now getting back. I’ve got boots over 15 years that still look good. Really into the ropers now. Do you wear boot wraps to hide the shaft in slim jeans or straight cut pants?
Last comment. You should give the goat (Earl) in scotch a try. Extremely comfortable everyday wear that breathes in the warmer parts of late spring-early fall. They wear well and have an oil finish to give a nice look after a bit of wear. I still have love for Lucchese on the special days or in the office
Good men in olden days said go for material rather than brand. I often go for native cheaper ones than any brand made in China. I'd never put them on social media. No offence.
I like the caribou but unfortunately that isn’t an option in the True Stratoliner. I wonder is the blue hard to coordinate. My gray hat went with everything. Sadly it was stolen recently.
