i saw the illusion in Marion, il at The Cave around 1970. Also saw The Rugby's and the American Breed there. .I Also saw Head East at Teen Town in Marion ,Il multiple times. Roger Boyd had to explain what I was talking about else in the band.
Hopefully the sound was better on the floor. The delays due to the sound issues didn't help, but i was sitting in the balcony and sound was awful. Saw rhem at Burbon a few years prior and sound was much better. Gonna catch them in Omaha in October.
PAY CLOSE ATTENTION: the Concorde taking off in front of the Twin Towers at the end is ship F-BVFF, not F-BTSC. "Sierra Charlie" is only shown stationary, with its cockpit and cabin later shown. It's not the one taking off in front of the towers.
finally illusion videos. For years couldn't find any of their music.Had to order cassetts from germany.. many times enjoyed this band at the action house in island park LI. Five bucks would get you in to see top groups like the james gang, chambers brothers, lee Michaels, grateful dead , t Rex.
Last one I was on was from Dallas to Tulsa in the 90s. Ice crystals were blowing outta the AC vents like snow. Flight attendant gave me a free beed because it was late afternoon and she didn't want to mess with cash. Thank you AA!
As a professional musician who grew up in the 60s, I can say that, in addition to excellent showmanship, these guys were damn good musicians. What memories!
Another great album I still have is Dust - Hard Attack with future drummer of the Ramones Marc Bell or Marky Ramone as a Ramone. That's a very early Heavy Metal album
One of the best unknown bands & albums ever. I have this on CD and I've listened to it to many times to count. I bought the album back in 1970 or 1971 in a $1.00 bin at a Woolworth-Woolco store. I still have it in pristine condition along with hundreds of other rare albums (some maybe not as rare as I think. lol) I cherish all those vinyls. Also have the Climax album with "Precious And Few" on it.
I flew from Calgary to LAX and back on Delta 727's during the summer of 1995. Got to see the place where OJ Simpson do his handy work on that quick trip too.
This is G--BOAF (216 ) the last Concorde made, in 1978, and last Concorde to fly, anywhere. from London Heathrow,to it's Birth Place, at Filton Bristol, where it resides in a New Museum.
