Ive had several Gibson and Epiphone Les Pauls. The difference is so minor its not worth the severe upcharge for the Gibson. Personally, I think the hate for Chinese made Les Pauls is from the transition period from Korea to China. The Korean models were better craftsmanship than the early Chinese made ones. And ever since people have been brainwashed into believing that MODERN CHINESE Les Pauls are still inferior. Not true! Its like the feuding between the Hatfields and the McCoys. Back in the 1800's there may have been a legit reason for these 2 families to feud, but not today. The modern Hatfields and McCoys have been brainwashed to continue the feuding with no questions asked. Wake up people... Gibson, Fender, Schecter, ESP, etc... ALL have parts on them that were made in China. Hell, the Gibson ABR-1 bridge and Stop Bar are made in Korea by a company called Ping-Works. LOL!!!!! Dont be a country of origin snob. It doesnt matter anymore. Play what you like and what feels and sounds good to YOU. Dont worry about if the name on a headstock will impress people. No one gives a crap anymore.
When i save up enough money ill buy one thats a hollow body..😊 I think its the coolest 😊 And the factorys are really cool worh them robot machines that never mess up ..😊
I remember selling these in the 80's. Absolutely fantastic guitars. Lots of very clever and innovative features. I have a couple of Matsumoku made guitars and they are stellar!
