This is kevin's kid I'm saying that my dad and me are doing teakwondo I have been doing teakwondo for about 4 years and my dad have been doing teakwondo for about 3years.
I'm going to hell for this. I just want to confirm I'm understanding this correctly you used Dollar Store garbage bags to stuff it? I've been trying to figure out if I needed to buy one of those mannequin hands from AliExpress or if I needed to buy some sort of foam packing material and put it inside or what to use to stop one. Long story short I ended up with a unicorn that I paid $9 for about six or seven months ago and I've been trying to figure out how to properly fill the insides so it's not simply laying flat .I have one that's virtually undamaged I don't know how or why and I've been trying to figure out how to stop it in order to keep it in the condition that it's in
Yes cheap dollar store or walmart bags. Always look around your house for free and cheap fixes. Even bubble wrap would be a good choice. Also paper towels, think simple not complicated and exspensive. Good luck.
@@0820pdb Bubble wrap now that's ironic if you knew how many boxes of bubble wrap I have in a closet LOL. When people mail me stuff I don't throw the bubble wrap out and I reuse it when I'm mailing stuff. Ideal in a lot of vintage toys so I have a ridiculous amount of bubble wrap in several large boxes in a closet of various types. I got the snake where it was part of a bunch of stuff a guy had for sale on Facebook Marketplace guy had the thing up for like 9 bucks and I grabbed a bunch of other stuff at the time he had a shop out in the middle of nowhere and listed a bunch of stuff from the shop on Facebook Marketplace I think shipping and everything I paid 40 or 50 bucks for the box of stuff and I sold a couple of toxic Avengers figures and the Biker Mice Figure for more than I paid for the whole box including the shipping I think the snake was like nine bucks and the couple of action figures were like five bucks each I forget what all I got from that listing. I've got nearly the entire Masters of the Universe toy line and ironically almost all of it from when I was a kid getting the stuff at yard sales and thrift stores and flea markets. I had a big chunk of Castle Eternia since I was like seven and I ended up selling it about 6 years ago for the collectors out there saying why did you sell it the pieces that were missing would have cost me about $2,000 to obtain or more through eBay only a handful of them were sold in Nova Scotia and when I got it I didn't know there was more pieces that went with it ironically they were probably with it and I didn't know the difference because I was a kid. I had thought it was a Thundercats playset till I seen it in a TV series called The Toy Hunter several years ago I only got about half of what it was worth because there's no Market in Nova Scotia for Masters of the Universe there's not very many collectors around here. I'm short like five or six figures from the entire line and the insult is one of the figures I had and lost I had the Sorceress about 5 years ago and a box of figures I bought and I still can't find it I've got the accessories but can't find the figure. I've misplaced evil in three times so somewheres in my house God knows where are too evil Lynn figures. I got another one about a year ago. Getting all that Masters of the Universe stuff in one Rubbermaid container basically a Rubbermaid container and a cardboard box for the accessories I moved back in 98 and never got anything really unpacked till a couple years ago. I have a ridiculous amount of the accessories LOL. Missing several pieces of Castle Grayskull yeah I can get the pieces on eBay but for what they want for One Piece on eBay I can buy the castle nearly complete it's ridiculous what they're charging in most of the eBay listings for the pieces of the castle. I've even got the battery cover with the electric voice box on Snake Mountain which most people are always missing lol. Almost all the figures and accessories are still packed but I've got the castles the fright zone and a few other things set up on shelves as of about a year ago. I don't have two of the Three Dinosaurs and given how expensive those two dinosaurs are I'm not even looking. I got the T-Rex back when I was about nine and it was missing the head and the chest plate I got the chest plate about 8 years ago and I got the head for the T-Rex about a year ago. At this point I'm missing the robot guy that blows up, clamp champ, the Sorceress, the guy from The Masters of the Universe movie that looks like Mr Clean I think his name was blade or SCAR or something like that forgive me I can't remember the name of every single figure! And there were these two spider like figures near the end of the line that were spin tops or something like that I don't have those two and they're ridiculously expensive! Last couple of years I started getting Masters of the Universe stuff in random places for nothing one of the things I was missing was this Dragon thing that's a projectile shooter I got one with a couple of Masters of the Universe figures and GI Joe pieces where it was a big box of toys that somebody was giving away on Facebook Marketplace they were going to throw it out because they had the ad up for three or four months and nobody bothered with it just that vehicle on eBay goes for like 50 bucks LOL not including the other stuff that was in the mess right flyer I got most of it through a couple of eBay listings and again didn't pay nearly what it goes for presently short the piece that comes off the bottom of the handle but I've got the four wings and the cockpit cover and the satellite dish and the little plastic Square engine cover the wings cost more than I paid for the whole thing LOL I don't know why people so heavily over value pieces of certain toys when it comes to eBay. A lot of Masters of the Universe figures are peanuts on eBay except for certain figures. The accessories on the other hand the prices are outrageous same thing the pieces for fright zone Castle Grayskull and Snake Mountain
Great job! I had the opportunity to get a mint one for 50 bucks. Too expensive back then, but today I'd pay 100 for one in that shape. The one I do have is ok, but I won't even touch the SOB
I'm not 100% sure, but with the sucess that the new 6" line is haveing. It's a possibitily to get a new 12" line. I would check Sideshow or Hot Toys, that would be the most likely place to find them.
Kevin here, I just wanted to say sorry for the quality being a little off at the beginning of my videos. I've been having difficulty with the RU-vid rendering process. I tried a VPN setting, but really didn't see a difference. I'm contacting a friend today for help, thanks to RU-vid for my a simple upload an annoying experience.
Loved Dark Angel. I have both seasons and the Playstation video game which was a continuation of/from the series They also have a prequel book before the events of the series. I believe there are two more books that take place after the events of the series. Jessica Alba rock as Max aka Dark Angel 👍😎. Also, I read that the show was based of the animated series/turned movie Alita: Battle Angel.
Hi Kevin, an artist/sculptor myself. I grew up collecting Star Wars toys and comics and watched Spawn #1 hit the shelves. Fun time. My room was full of toys and comics all over my walls. Was looked at as odd or nerdy too. I hear yah. But loved being surrounded by my inspirations for my art. No one really gets it.
Totally awesome, but never worry about people understanding you. Just be you and the right people will show up. Keep exploring your art, it only gets better and better.
Awesome video, am starting to do this with my own puppet. Question for you though. How are you planning on displaying it. Would seem a waste to just stand it on a can next to it. I was thinking of maybe some Styrofoam to "fill" out the body while using the bags to "fill" out the face. Then if you can get a long piece of Styrofoam you can mount it to always rest in the hole of the play set.
Been thinking about Mego playsets too. Seen some neat backdrops and dioramas around but I've really been planning towards that cheap effective way Mego made 1/9 scale playsets. Just based on Barbie and her camper it takes an enormous amount of molded plastic to build her world. Like you mentioned it would be interesting to see Castle Grayskull in that Mego style playset form.
I only really had one figure body I didn't think I could fix from CTVT, had some banter with them but they were willing to replace it. I don't like original female Mego aesthetics so I bought an Yvonne instead that I'm very happy with. I was definitely ignorant about hollow blow molded plastics so I did have some false expectation for it compared to solid plastic parts. I have a better feel for it now and how bands and strings work.
Yeah funny how many times Roddy was in POTA films but as different characters. Aiming to get the new POTA figures but probably run into some vintage too buying part lots. Was just thinking about the neck hole lately and it seems like the old Mego design is probably the most versatile since anything could be plugged into it. Like I was thinking Mego might want to do a ball socket neck like MOTU:Origins in the future since they changed to a bandless body good for posing. It is funny the Target-Mego line, somebody at Target thought they were picking the best perfect licenses but everybody just uses them for custom parts lol. I think I'm the only one that wants an intact Woody from Cheers. ^_^ Been collecting various kinds of figure bodies from past and present, I like the full CTVT figures but the custom bodies required more DIY than I expected. There is definitely some kind of technology gap between Stringed and O-ring figures in that the former type doesn't work with rings very well.
CTVT is a good company, but their are a handful of items that the quality just isn't their. But overall they have more options of characters plus customizing.
Nice to hear more about Sculpey, was wondering what kind of properties it has as a sculpting medium. ;) Steampunk is a funny definition, to me it's high tech sooner than we got it in real history. They had a show called Connections hosted by James Burke where in one episode they broke down all the development steps needed to make a Television where the parts were actually around longer than you'd think before someone put them together that way.
The Mystery Incorporated cartoon series was very underrated imo. I liked how some mysteries were true, there was always a kind of predictable and cynical aspect to the original series that it was always some guy doing a scam ijs.
Pretty neat you can get Mego at Walmart, I'm not in a big enough retail market for that, best we get is MOTU:Origins. ;) I did the same thing about being late to that party for Velma, could not find her at all even at inflated prices. Decided to kitbash one together since CTVT had some loose leftover heads for sale. Did get Shaggy and Charlie though, always like that robot in the show intro along with the astronaut skeleton.
It's too bad the way things ended up the way they did . I imagine if you and Chis Smith continued to work together on this project, we would have gotten the injection molded PLA plastic , trap door having, hand sculpted real Kenner style Bantha of our dreams... Instead of a cobbled together, resin poured, cross-eyed, upholstery tack holding, wobbly leg paperweight! Sorry, but your project receives an F from toy experts, collectors and fans. Please acknowledge and accept your failure like a man.
Not my failure, I came in to help a failing project. I did it for one reason only, that is for the fans. Unfortunately I came in to late to the game. I did the best I could, with very little to work with. Trust me, I wish I would have walked away from the project, because I learned that know one cares that I tried to save it. Sorry that you feel the way that you do, trust me I get it the most. I've been let down as well. But I only sculpted the Bantha. I wasn't in charge of project.

And saying you had very little to work with, however on the call, you and Chris were saying these are in factory made and resin is better than plastic, and then say at the end, you wernt in charge of the project, yet you and Krahn say you ARE the project Manager?? You really need to tell us what's going on, because Chris Krahn is saying Michael French's review is false, and everyone else is happy with the Banthas and you are agreeing with Krahn, but now you are pretty much saying its not good enough and you had little time and little to work with, so what is it?? In 2021 I bought a RARE Fantasy Art "Conan in the Lair of the Ice Worm " 18 x 24" PAINTING 1975 signed by Springer. It looks like a million bucks, and is done in oil? with very rich and beautiful colors, It shows Conan from the back about to throw the fire heated helmet in one hand and the fire heated battle axe in the other hand into the mouth of the ice worm, while being inside the ice worm's lair. It makes the comic art for the october 1978 #34 The Lair of the Ice Worm, depicting the worm, to look piss poor! I had a custom frame made for it, and I am very happy to have stumbled across it. for the $80.00 I paid! How much could a painting like this be worth?

Great video. What type of paper do you use? You mentioned the weight but didn't mention the finish. Matt paper doesn't have the right effect and I can see your paper has a shine to it so it must be either glossy or somewhere between matt and glossy. The only glossy I find is printable photo paper but that wouldn't have the right effect. I would be greatful to know. Many thanks
