Thank you for the video, I’ve been learning email marketing for 3 months. And because you been doing this for way longer than me (more experience). I wanted to ask you some questions if it possible. #1: I want to run a service of email marketing as a freelancer, but I don’t know how much, I have to know to start running a business #2: Which niche is the best one to start as a beginner email marketer. info products or, ecommerce? And why in your opinion ? #3: should I work for FREE at the beginning? #4: How does a client service deliver look like ( if you could a video of this, it would be really helpful ) #5: let’s assume I choose to work in the e-commerce niche. What type of business should I outreach to? I have bunch more of questions, but those are the main ones. I would really appreciate if you could take the time to answer at least one of them.
Hey man! Glad you found the video valuable. To answer your questions: 1. Learn the basics of copywriting / email design so you can offer them freelancing. This will help you be much more valuable to brands. I would also recommend getting a baseline understanding of email marketing by taking some paid courses. Chase Dimond on twitter has some great stuff 2. I would say ecommerce because there's a higher demand for email marketing than info products in general. 3. Yes. I think working for free / cheap (or better yet working at an agency) are great ways to learn and build connections. 4. It varies from client to client, but typically our deliverables are: Flow setup, weekly campaigns, list growth + consistent testing. Might make a vid on this. 5. Hot take, I actually recommend not niching down at all in the beginning. The fastest way to learn is gonna be by taking on all the work that you possibly can. Niching down to start will just limit your options. Keep me updated on how things go bro, you got this.
Great video. Just wondering, if I was going to add another user to my klaviyo account to do my email marketing what role should i give them so they can do everything they need?
Hey thanks, glad you enjoyed it! Manager is sufficient access for an an email marketing team. This gives them access to everything except for private account settings like billing / API keys etc. More info here: help.klaviyo.com/hc/en-us/articles/115005231648
What do you think about whole email is text based not graphics and design. Because there is high chance if you have too many designs that email will lànd on promotion or spam label?
Hey! You can find it in the definition settings when making a segment. It'll say "If someone is or is not suppressed for email" and then you can choose "is" or "is not". Here's a helpful article: community.klaviyo.com/lists-segments-and-profiles-35/suppressed-are-only-suppressed-for-email-how-to-unsubscribe-from-email-and-sms-2357
