Welcome! We're Mindy and Joe. An adventurous married couple that can never stay in one place for long. With too many hobbies and not enough time we decided to sell all our things, outfit a van, and hit the road. After traveling the country in our self-converted van we decided to switch gears and venture on a new journey!
Subscribe to join us on our journey (... whatever that might take us)!
We put out new videos every week.

Awesome vid! I have done this hike a few times and love it. I see campers there often but they unfortunately have been stopping it. The few ruin it for everyone!
Helpful to know what might help in future if/when needs cleaning. Yours is not the chirpy annoying squeak I’ve got, I couldn’t really tell if there was a squeak on video. Anyway, my fan is only 2 days old. I notice you didn’t use any lubricant. I’ll take your suggestion and run it on high for a while. If that doesn’t work, I’ll contact the company. Thanks for posting this. Edit: Contacted company, I explained that as I'm living in the trailer in the desert, their first suggestion that I run the fan on full for 24 hours was going to be super cold especially overnight, and not sure my batteries will hold out. At that point they decided to send out a replacement motor. Great service.
Wow! That's cool. Thanks for the gopro footage of the scramble. Have been waiting to watch one of the old rag before deciding whether i can do it or not.
Hey Joe quick question, would you still recommend the heavy duty sumo springs if you weren't hauling bikes on the back? I have a full RV build out but actually hang my motorcycle on a front hitch.
Did you have the issue of the nut on top coming lose in the sumo springs? I have this issue trying to tighten the spring and then the nut comes loose and I can’t tighten it anymore. Thoughts?
This is great. The squeak is gone. Thank you! FWIW I made 2-minor mistakes in the cleaning process. 1) I used a brush & soap on the fan blade. This scuffed it up a bit. I should have used a sponge & soap. 2) Drying the screen cover, I dragged the metal nozzle of the air compressor gun back & forth & took the finish off some of the screen. I should have held it away from the screen.
Mindy and Joe: I bought a 2022 Solis P59 and drove thru a very windy Iowa and Nebraska. I rarely could over 50mph without the RV swaying all over the place. In Denver I could go 70 mph with no wind. When I was passed by big rigs in Nebraska my cruise control set at 60mph would disengage when passed because I assume of the wind effect on the pass. Do you think the sumo springs would solve the sway effect from the wind in Iowa and Nebraska?
Mine lasted three days of nearly constant running before the squeak returned. It had been squeaking for many months. This next cleaning, I will polish the copper of the commutator so the brushes ( which are the source of the dust that creates the squeal) may slide instead of so easily wear against the commutator.
Thanks. Ours squeeked from factory. Also all the remotes for our TV and sound bar and other remotes set it off. I'd never recomend this product. Absolute trash from the price
