I think self sealing valves are a good idea. A lot of armys now use conscripts or weekend warriors, it reduces training and under stressful conditions its obe less worry. Having said that i dont like M50 valves, more confidence in GSR ones
I guess try to avoid showing a serial number just in case Japan launches an investigation and goes after whoever let it leave the country. You'll be fine, the person living in Japan won't be. Edit: I guess it doesn't have any serial codes.
Interesting mask, now owned by two knowledgeable collectors. Its a great day for Gas Mask collectors especially when Duke treats us to a high quality video : )
Pretty incredible that you were able to acquire this mask as you mention they don't allow their citizens to own this sort of thing but I'm glad you guys got it and it's in good hands, also keep up the videos I enjoy good quality mask videos.
Quite a fascinating find for sure, especially as you said on American eBay. I would've figured Buyee or something originally would be the place to find one on an off chance!
Dear @GasMaskBunker I have one of these gasmask protective hoods (hood only) and I would like to ask you if it is in a good condition how much it costs?
This looks quite interesting. Any idea where these tanks can be acquired? These tanks (being carbon fiber) have a max service age, and I wouldn't wish to invest in a set without contingencies in place.
