Spent lots of August holidays here as a teenager. The only tar road was Front street. The rest were just red clay. Still remember walking bare foot after a surprise shower and feeling the warm red clay quelshing between my toes. Best feeling ever!
I went to Lethem as a kid an d it was scary it was like a adveher and the road was very unsafe but we made it the water uhh The first time I went to the water falls by the way it has two so the first one was not bad but the next one was so scary for me😱😱😱😱😱😱😱😱

Amazing photography. 4:26 - 4:40 drone shot is not possible in any other major falls bcos of the mist. But because this is tallest single drop, the mist doesnt rise up that far to cause trouble to the drone props I guess. Also, the clarity of shots of made possible by the lack of mist near the fall.
Not just the mist but legal issues! For example at victoria falls in zimbabwe/zambia they wont let you use drones. I suspect it is to protect their helicopter tour business. There are many places across the world where drones are banned or require a special permit.
Such a shame to see the Bauxite Industry decimated. I used to load thousands of tonnes of the stuff in Linden / McK and ship it to other ports in N America and the Carib in the 70's. Great memories!
