I started writing songs and playing guitar a lot. I'm a guitarist and like to post some of the things I play on guitar. I also play drums, bass guitar, keyboard, and clarinet. Enjoy the music videos and such I post.
Okay... i get being confident and all that but.... none of that would impress anyone at any level i don't think. Also, what is up with not using your pinky? Did you watch slash or something and be like huh he doesnt use his pinky often i shouldnt either
Relax man. You want to be pushing down just hard enough for a note to ring out. Before you go any farther i would really work on that and get your muscle memory dialed in for it. Go to like your 3rd fret on the G or B string and with your 1st finger start gently pushing down while picking until that note rings out (its not pressing as hard as you think). Do this with every finger while still holding down your 1st finger on that 3rd fret and make sure your first finger doesnt start pressing harder when you use your other fingers. So 1st finger on 3rd fret, 2nd finger on 4th fret and so on. Practice that with hammer ons and pull offs as well without pressing down that 1st finger any harder than the note just ringing out
i dont want to be rude but please god learn the proper technique and how to actually do them before trying to go fast, the sweeps weren't too bad i guess😅
When you tap remember to catch the note when you pull off so it actually rings (same for all pull offs), play to a metronome. Learn just a little bit of theory, USE YOUR PINKY, and uh… leave what you called ‘clean sweeps’ alone for a while longer…
Bro straight up when i first atarted playing when i was 12 i had a guy in my year who was way better than me and he could do a few shredding licks and at the time i thought i was like incredible but looking back at his old videos it was so sloppy and beginninery its so funny how your perspective changed when you get better
You're a young homie so I'll tell you, if you ever are worried about or focused on 'how to impress', you're focused on all the wrong things, in any aspect of life. Keep up the good work
