Hi. Can you please share a link to where we can purchase the Black Pearl. I can’t find it anywhere. We are going to go see you on May 13th, and would love to have your signature on it. Please help me locate one. Thank You
Great video tutorial. I've used this and your other YT videos during my VGK trial. But I don't agree that the stance-release cannot be fooled. With current compliant feet (e.g., Fillauer AllPro) walking on varied terrain or on mild downhill slopes, I get many false-stance events. If I set the stance-release screw less than "13 turns CW from fully-removed", it has a tactile "clunk" feel when the lower shank moves A-P and it makes a very audible "click". Yes, it's Pretty Good for many, but not a Good Knee for all.
This looks like a good option when a MPK is not possible. That said, MPKs should be the standard of care for all AKAs and insurance should not be allowed to refuse. The person demonstrating this knee walks well but his gait shows a reluctance and uncertainty, as well as a lack of trust in the knee, that MPKs eliminate. There are waterproof MPKs and those are what AKAs should be fitted with.
Thank you,for this info. Amputees given these types of prognostics have very little contact time with so-called experts in the UK. Don't get me wrong the NHS is great but specialists are hard to come by and trainees have little technical knowledge,. please upload video of motion. I love this
