This trailer is so sweet!!! For the people saying “just get a toy hauler” I’d much rather avoid rubbing my tires on a carpet wall or expensive furniture. The diamond plate makes for easy cleaning and maintenance and it STILL has the amenities of a toy hauler if not more. Excellent job.
Do you guys have anything that is more specific to weekend mountain bike trailers? That wouldn’t have all the tiedowns for heavier ATVs and motorcycles, but you could put mountain bikes in it and possibly have a larger kitchen/bathroom area?
I like this trailer. As a painting contractor I would do it a little differently. Wouldn't want those cabinets because I stack all my ladders on one side. Easy in and out, I still like the ladder rack for when I need to pull out the 32'. I appreciate your video and I like that the walls are 16. o.c. and roof 12 o.c. I would prefer more of a 7x14 or 7x16 size because I don't have huge mirrors and like to see around my trailer better. I would put a nice tool chest, metal cabinet combo at the front of it. You guys should team up with a painter and paint that inside with a nice industrial paint like a neutral beige color. When I first got my trailer, I painted it and it took 2 weeks to air out haha.. But I didn't leave the door open.. Thanks for the video.. I have a continental cargo trailer I bought for 5k 10 years ago and only reason I want to upgrade is to get 16 o.c walls and 12 o.c. roof/floor, maybe 2 more feet length. my same trailer is 10k now.. So 12-14k seems fair for this one. Some people always complain about price but this is an important investment for a contractor.. Beats buying a unreliable box truck... If you can't afford it, work with what you have got.. When I first started painting I had a acura legend coupe with a dog bed on top and 32' ladder on top of that, then after years I got a used 4runner and had ladders sticking out the back window.. Didn't even have a trailer till probably 10 years into painting.. How much easier life is with it!
Where did you mount the fuel pumps for the diesel heaters? Do you have a mounting trick so you don't hear the clicking when you're trying to sleep? Awesome trailers and videos!
While most people focus on the width of these cars, which is understandable, an often overlooked dimension is the door height opening. My '05 enclosed Sport Trailer has a 72" door height and a working ceiling height of approx. 75". While I can get my XP4 1000, in the trailer with a stock cage, I have to slightly compress the suspension once in the trailer, for fear of banging on the ceiling lights. No way in the world will the Turbo R or Pro R fit in my current trailer with these ridiculously tall cages. When I do replace my current car, if I go with either or those cars, that is an automatic cage replacement, before the first ride! In your demonstrations, if it doesn't fit; it doesn't fit. If it fits, but you just didn't align the car on approach, drop a pair and realign it...... Side note for your viewers: Several have reported these new cars (Turbo R and Pro R) have a "crab walk" from the factory which is due to the mfg not setting rear tire alignment correctly.
Would it be possible to build this trailer into a traveling office with a stock trading desk of 8 moniotrs mounted on the walk that would fold tight against the wall have a shock mount for the computer to set and be locked in all the time for travel but fold out during work time. With a standard kitchen, bedroom and living room? Would one be able to run the high power computer and the 8 monitors with the four season concept. plus have installed security alarms and outdoor cameras. Thanks Darrel
Grey and black tank capacities are too small. 2 weeks in the back country with family of 5. Not going to cut it. Awesome bunks! Best design I’ve seen !
How much is this trailer? This is the size I want for our 8 dirt bikes and 2 four wheelers. Also, can the ramp and trailer hold a truck to haul as well when needed?
Really nice. I do have suggestions/comments: 1) Spare tire can go on nose of trailer above that really nice gooseneck hitch. This opens more storage space for extra propane tanks, tools etc. Stand on truck bed to access spare tire. Put a cover on that spare to prevent dry rot. 2) 30# propane tanks instead of 20# tanks. A younger guy may consider 40# tanks. Personal ability to lift/load tanks. I find the 20# tanks don't work too well below 0 degrees F - only get half the propane out at the low temps. Consider tank heaters. 3) Scissor jacks at front corners and just behind tires for stability. Use battery drill to raise/lower. Spray them regularly with LPS3 or similar to prevent/slow corrosion. Bolt them to trailer, not weld, for easy maintenance. Sacrificial wood blocks between scissor jack and ice - it really sucks when a scissor jack freezes to the ground. You may lose the wood block to the ice. 4) Sheet metal covers for black/grey pipes to protect from road gravel breakage. Screw the covers in place for easy maintenance access. Put on a little service door to access pipe ends. The sheet metal covers could be spray foamed/insulated to make the pipe heaters more effective. 5) Insulation is incredibly important. 'nuff said. 6) Mounts on inside walls for folding chairs, folding tables. These can be used inside or outside the trailer. 7) Kids/grandkids/wives will go to the snow more often when there is a warm trailer to return to hot chocolate/hot food. 8)Consider a canvas wall with zipper door (similar to marine) between living qtr and garage. Snaps for canvas wall to trailer walls and ceiling. Keep that 2 stroke smoke out of living qtr. 9) Fans on ceiling to blow out smoke. Push the damn (cold) sleds out to keep smoke out of trailer. Thats what the ski glides are for. Loading warm sleds is less smoke, but still need fans going prior to loading. 10) Back-up lights at top of trailer backside. These can be the bright LED lights. Power the lamps via the house batteries. Use a relay (in trailer) wired to your 7 pin connector backup line. The (50' or 60') 16 gauge backup wiring from the truck engine bay does not adequately power the LEDs. The fix is some stout 10 gauge wiring from house battery through a relay and on to LEDs. 11) Use conduit in trailer. Wiring behind trailer walls/ceiling looks pretty but is a freakin' maintenance nightmare. 12) Honda/Yamaha 1000W generator is QUIET, light, and will charge the battery bay for 7-8 hours. Size the battery charger for 8A/1000W. A pair of Honda/Yamaha 2000W generators are reasonably light and, when ganged together, will power AC in the summer. One 2000W will power most any battery charger. Just say NO to those god awful noisy propane powered generators.

is it just me or does it seem like that 30A breaker panel and the inverter are mounted in terrible locations? they are both just below the sink counter top. Tell me those aren't going to get wet, seems like a bad idea.
80 amps... out of all those watts.. thats so low.. I can pull 75 amps out of 600w, and out of my 300w / 70v solar blanket I can pull 25 amps off it.. no clue how you done your setup but yea obviously running panels flat on a roof will pretty much half the amount of watts you will get so even though you may have 1920watts really it would be around 1150 watts
All of that is just math and it very much depends on how you set up your solar array. Amps are easier for people to understand but Watts are what you are more interested in due to the fact that parallel vs series has a large impact on amps. Look up the equations if you're more interested in the comment above or how it works and then the difference in those numbers will be obvious based on how you wire your panels.
Sounds like an inverter situation, as you have plenty of energy gathering capacity, but maybe need better inverter(s) sending that stored energy to appliances? very interested in the cost of such a trailer....@@LifeElevatedTrailers
I'm assuming that's completely stable? I guess I'm wondering whats the benefit of doing it that way instead of having one on each side @@LifeElevatedTrailers
@@jdub099do we really need to ask this? It’s cheaper. No, it’s not more stable. It’s easier to design and cheaper. Same reason they use 7k axles rather than 8k’s knowing two 4 seat rzrs will put you over gvw.
