Thank you man! I was in a bad atv crash.. I was going far too fast, I need one more surgery before I should be able to start waking again, once I’m a little bit closer to the end date I’m going to release the video from the day that it happened. I don’t have the crash on film but I recorded my father and and some footage before it happened I’m just not ready to work on that one yet
I run a 86s 24t 40p I’ll try out your gearing for top speed man! I mostly use my Traxxas/for pavement drifting however and that’s my normal setup :) all hot racing
my question is how many tires do you go through drifting outside on concrete or asphalt? Ive heard you can go through a set of tires in 1 battery run and that would get crazy expensive!!!!. It looks like that set you just put on are pretty worn out too..
It’s actually not as bad as you think, I go through tires probably monthly. I don’t have to buy new wheels, just the plastic sleeves to go around around them, and the drift bands that you glue onto the wheels. Altogether it’s like 15 bucks. 25 to 35 if I want new wheels too
@@Danedaboyofficial traxxas makes it really easy to set the gear mesh, they have that plastic thing on the motor, this video is pretty old so I’m almost sure I still had it on but when I switched to even larger gears a little bit ago, I had to take that black little spacer out to make the motor gears flush and not too tight
@@Danedaboyofficial but she’s pretty dialed in man! I have it set up for drifting, 500k diff fluid in the rear 24T 86S on gearing. If you haven’t already man, check out some of my more recent videos right now I’m recovering from a broken leg but I’ll be back making more content soon.
Nice touch with the neighbor annoyers 😅 If it was here in long Island, you'd have an asshole neighbors yelling "You're filling my house with smoke, you little derelict " 😅 fk em!
Yes they do however I decided to keep the slipper clutch assembly and just lock up the rear differential with some 500k diff fluid, that way it still posys both rear tires together but it doesn’t really affect the turning radius if I wanted to grip race
@itzzgraham I actually did the same thing with my Tacoma, I did a Detroit TruTrac in the rear, instead of a solid locker , it's my daily driver and a solid locker in the rear would have made it harder to drive on road, it's hard to find a balance between on and offroad, but I drive her every day! Around 150 miles today out house hunting, and 2.7 4 banger, so not bad on gas, I love my truck!
@itzzgraham I've been into it since 1986 and my first rc car, The Rockbuster, 65$ + Radio and probably the worst charger ever! Gotta start somewhere! 😆
I smoked my trans on my Brushless traxxas slash 2wd almost immediately, ended up using the whole trans out of my Stampede brushed, and she's taken a beating since then! I'm planning on outfitting it with an upgraded aluminum case full aftermarket trans and all the aluminum I can find and definitely that factory steering servo, the steering is sloppy as fk! And I already replaced mostly everything! But it's crazy fast! Super fun, she's the one that got me back into RCs. Also found out the hard way that they're not as "Waterproof" as they claimed! But when I first bought my Stampede, I called traxxas and they actually completely for free with no problem replaced the brushed motor, speed control and chassis, without question, I have to call them on the Brushless speed control, and cracked chassis, I bet they'll replace it? Not that I'm cheap, just broke and currently about to buy a house, not an RC house, 😅 An actual real one 😅 but anyhow, great video, very informative and I subbed you 👍 thanks brother 👍
I definitely suggest the 272R transmission from traxxas man it’s a direct full time and it’s freaking awesome! You can tune your differential without taking the whole casing apart. Yeah, those factories got to be one of the worst bro!
I beat on mine 10x harder. Stock slipper clutch. I can pavement drift all day, 3s is scary. If you tune one slowly you can do it without going crazy on diff fluid. Shocks and steering helped mine way more. Good video
