Love your videos and its always amazed me how little so many of us (in NI) actually know about what is around us. We absolutely love the North Coast, particularly in Autumn and Winter when most of the tourists have gone and it all takes on a quiet melancholy feel. Pretty much all of my friends have never heard of (or have been to) places like Kinbane, Larrybane, Portcoon, Gortmore, Binevenagh, or did the lovely walks from Dunseverick to the harbour, or the other direction to Portmoon etc. We have travelled a reasonable amount around the world but our own Northern coastline is world class.
Totally agree, and the Autumn and Winter definitely are my favourite times for both the feel of the coast and the photography ..... the storms and the Northern Lights can be spectacular. Thanks for supporting our channel and so pleased that you enjoy the videos 🙂
Stunning and enchanting ❤ - even in winter!! Love the drone footage!! Cant wait to move over and start exploring my new home. Wanna come now, now, now 😂😂😂😂. Im all packed and ready. 😅😅😅
I remember it's presence on Anglesey. There's been a few more since then! Something quite exhilarating and also humbling about walking through a storm and feeling the forces of nature 😮. Finding broken and battered bodies of birds and mammals after storm has passed serves as a reminder of how fragile life truly is ( whatever the species ) 😢😢.
Oh, wow, look at that 😍, how beautiful! The colours are stunning ! I've never seen the aurora borealis. It's visible from Anglesey, but I've never managed to be in the right place at the right time. I hope you didn't leave the iron on 😯.
No iron left on 😅 It was an incredible night and one of the best displays I've seen and photographed. 2025 sees the peak of aurora activity so hopefully you'll see some of the Northern Lights over Anglesey 🤞
Great video guys 😀. I'm moving to Do Down next month, so these videos are a good way to give me more information about NI 😀. Drone footage always gives a different perspective, too!
Hard to beat the beauty of the Causeway Coast Tamzin. I'm sure that you'll enjoy County Down as it's lovely there also 🙂 Thanks for supporting our channel.
Thank you so much for all your great stories and video s. My 10 yr old and i are leaving for a holiday in northern ireland next week. I hope we can find this route! We also enjoyed your video of the giants causeway. We know what to look for now :).
Just watched your video of the Aurora storm Paul. Very impressive indeed. I lived close to Cambridge for over 20 years before moving over to Northern Ireland and never saw anything remotely aurora related. Did see the Hale Bop comet though! Keep up the good work with the videos 👏
@@KennethWood-ju7tt very kind of you to say. Ah, so you probably know that area well! I’m fortunate to have it almost on my doorstep and it’s the foreground that keeps giving! I remember Hale Bopp very well - even managed to drag my dad up on to the Northumbrian moors to capture a reasonable image on his film SLR piggybacked on my telescope! Thank you for watching.
Oh my word, that was well worth falling out of bed for wasn't it.😂 Brilliantly captured, the colours were fabulous !! Thanks for going out in the cold to record it for us for us👏. I hope Kenneth buys you a cup of tea !
Was out all night and got home just as the dawn was breaking Violet. I've never seen the aurora so vibrant in all the years I've photographed it. I'll make sure that I get George a cup of tea 😅
@@VioletR3062 Could actually see the colours with the naked eye and I didn't know which way to look ..... a truly amazing display. I took over 150 photographs, so many that I don't know what to do with them all 😅
Enjoyed this video, its great that you keep discovering NI's little hidden gems and interesting stories .... Did Granny Finn ever get to top of that cliff I wonder 😅
Suppose it depends on whether she finished off the bottle of whiskey she was supposedly taking up with her 😅 Thanks again for your support for the videos 🙂
Why would you call it "Londonderry" 😭 How would you like it if someone came to where you're from and plopped "London" on the front to essentially stake a claim to your land?
Wow absolutely brilliant. Drone footage really captures the indefatigable beauty of NI. Love the count down aspect of this video, not sure I have been to all though. How did you manage to create an order, must have been a challenge.
I have travelled some of the journey mainly from Antrim to Bellarine but never the whole journey. I feel this needs to be done in 2024, well this year then! I'm looking a the diary as we speak! Top videos guys fab graphics, well the train windows need a wee clean!!
We can certainly do the train journey when you're over later in the year Simon. It'll give me a break from driving 😅 Thanks for supporting the channel 👌
Yikes! I won't be gathering dulce at the grey man's path anytime soon !! The mist and spooky music really added to the atmosphere. Great views of the lakes and the sea from up there, and great story ! 👻
There are easier ways of getting dulse 😅 It certainly was challenging up there on top of Fairhead but so worthwhile with positive comments and feedback like yours. Thank you so much 🙂
Bless you Kenneth you looked a bit rosie cheeked after your hike up there 😳! I will definitely try the dulse on next visit, it's meant to be very nutritious so I'll give it a go! 👍
I was a wee bit tired 😅 My late wife loved dulse but I wasn't too keen. Bit like chewy and salty elastic bands 😅 I used to take some back each summer after our usual trip over so Shirley could see her mum. Gave my students the chance to sample the delicacy that is dulse 😉
I spent many a night here camping 40+ yrs ago in my youth🙈😂 Great memories trekking this stunning coastline. Ballintoy/Murlough Bay/Torr Head etc. The Causeway Coast is just beautiful ❤️❤️👍
So beautifully filmed. I love the bottom walk from Portballintrae to Giant's Causeway, along the boardwalk and railway. There are lovely spring flowers and birdsong in May. It's a gentle, soothing walk on a sunny day!
Snowdrops are there at the moment at the Rookery Sheila, and then later in the year the bluebells and the smell of wild garlic. It's a lovely walk. Thanks for supporting our videos 🙂
It is history Indeed and reflects the pagan beliefs and rituals that would have taken place, very eerie to see those platform of stones and what likely took place.
I think google is wrong about the coast.....I believe offically the Causeway coast runs from L`derry to Ballycastle and then its the Antrim coast from ballycastle to Belfast, but if you start googling it like I did weeks ago theres is so many different answers.
