I get chills up my body every time I sing star-Spangled Banner. I get chills when I was a kid and I still get chills as a 51-year-old man, singing it and saying the Pledge of Allegiance. I remember in school saying the Pledge of Allegiance every day until somewhere around 1982 and we just stop saying it. That’s the year I went to middle school and I just assumed it was something we just did in elementary school with the kids. It was never discussed why we quit saying it and as kids just forgot about it. As an adult with education behind me I understand now why we weren’t saying it. It would’ve been nice to have school administrators back in the 80s explain it to us but it was just don’t ask. Don’t tell policy about it I guess.
indeed! to all the men and women in services and vets. Thank you for your service, all you have done, and all you continue to do! I know it is not said enough, but we appreciate you!!
