I think that the "Little Mac" of SNES Super Punch-Out is another person inspired by what Little Mac achieved and set out to be like him and that is why the player can name him
If I may gripe about your format: The CRT presentation is cute, I won't deny that. But it's somewhat frustrating that you just left every single piece of footage that you ran through it at 16:9. If you had cropped the video into their intended resolutions by removing the black bars before sending it to the CRT, it would genuinely look so much better.
This is something I want to change for future installments. Unfortunately the adapter I was using assumes any signal as 16:9 and so even when outputting 4:3 it would squish down even further. If I had the foresight/time I could have saved the 4:3 footage and then stretched and rendered it as 16:9 so the adapter would squish it "correctly" but I didn't.
It may have been because 6 of his win were removed from his record due to inconsistencies during those fights, like when in real life, some champions loses medals because they were cheating or something like that
Punch-Out!! Wii being placed before Super Punch-Out!! makes Aran Ryan even funnier than he already is. I choose to believe he got punched in the face so many times that something actually clicked into place and turned him normal.
I should mention that there's actually Punch Out crossover in the Gamecube version of Fight Night Round 2 for the Gamecube. You can unlock Little Mac by beating the Gamecube exclusive included version of Super Punch Out. He's actually based on his on Super Punch Out (SNES) appearance, and he is referred to in game as Little Mac. Although that brings up a discrepancy in that it says that Mac is from Seattle, Washington instead of the Bronx, meaning one of two things: Either this is an entirely different Little Mac from Seattle, or Little Mac moved to Seattle and dyed his hair and all that. I've also seen gameplay that says he's from Tokyo, Japan, I don't know if that's a version difference there, I'd need to look more into that matter.

I have two theories about Mr. Sandman's "de-aging". Theory 1: Mr. Sandman intentionally lied about his age when he was first signing up, and then later on, when Mr. Sandman was old enough to where it didn't matter that much, this lie was discovered, presumed to just be a mistake, and corrected. Theory 2: Mr. Sandman listed his birthday as day-month-year to a person who assumes month-day-year, or vice versa, and nobody noticed until years later.
"Presumed to be a mistake" nah, I think it went something like this: Person 1: "Huh, it says here he's 31, but the birth date on this document doesn't match." Person 2: "Hm... Well who's gonna tell him? That'd mean he joined at 17 instead of 18. You gonna accuse Sandman of lying to get in the WVBA early?" _Crickets_ Person 1: "Yeah I'm sure it was just a mistake, I'll just gonna update that it'll be fine." I mean we're talking about a guy who canonically can level a building with his fists. Dude's scary lmao.
Well, if you play the 2 player mode in Punch Out Wii, the second player is Little Pete, who is blonde. Maybe that’s the identity of the nameless fighter in Super Punch Out?

The swimming pool I went to as a kid in 80’s had Crazy Kong and for some reason I liked the terrible music and sound better than the original. That small town had way more Crazy Kong machines than legit DK machines. I wonder if anyone knows how many they sold in the United States.
i think that audio would probably be a lot better on the real hardware because of the environment they were meant to be in. cabinet speakers weren't especially loud and with the cacophony of everything going on in a 1980s arcade, i think the sound would be a lot more pleasant than in an emulator
