Hello Everyone! I hope you enjoy my videos as much as I enjoyed making them for the world to see! I love Flying my Drone when I can and I love to make videos with it! Aerial cinematography is possibly the coolest thing we as people can experience as Hobbyists without having to fly in a plane or helicopter to get those amazing shots! I’m here to help lend a hand on this platform whenever I can to help you with Drone tips and tricks or camera tips and tricks. Although I may be young on this platform I hope you can see the value in the videos I make for you, if you ever need advice on any subject don’t hesitate to contact me on any of my social platforms! Thanks for stopping by, have a fantastic day🍻
No doubt about it, the SD MM sounds much crisper and more punchy, but I will mention the stock Squier pickups isn’t terrible as long as you keep the Volume and Tone at 10
This lens in combination with the m50, would it be good for sportsphotography for example football ⚽? I know the issues of the image stabilisation, i could use a tripod. I'm just scared because of the autofocus. The m50 seems to have great autofocus (following things with the focus etc). Im scared that it wont work as good with that lens and the player i want to focus might be blurry
As long as you keep your shutter speed fast enough 1/250 or faster than you shouldn’t have an issue with sharpness, as long as your adapter is Canon, I would assume cheaper adapters may lack in the speed next to a canon adapter. I would say if you can find a cheap used version of this lens than go for it! I have definitely seen people use it for sports photography. The AF should be good enough for running subjects, as I have used this lens on drift/car tracks
Great work congratulations I just subscribed I think you are doing great content people enjoy drone videos more and I can see it has more viewers than other videos
@@AllanCorona definitely! I feel this quality is a little better than the Fojill guitar but non the less, a good buy for someone looking to build their own instrument
I’m not sure why? The one on canons website says it had 4 stops of image stabilization www.usa.canon.com/shop/p/ef-s-18-55mm-f-4-5-6-is-stm?color=Black&type=New
@charlessands3458 hit the (+) symbol on the bottom of the YT app and than swipe to the left at the very bottom when it pulls up your videos to upload a short, it’s there you just need to swipe
I was more original with my 1st DSLR experience 15 years ago :). I bought that time Canon 400D as body and Canon EF 28-200mm USM lens instead of kit one. Same lens then was used on my next Canon 550D body, until it was later changed for Canon EF-S 15-85mm IS USM, which the best possible alternative for Canon APS-C kit lens ever by built and picture quality. Yeah, I know aboout Canon EF-S 17-55mm IS USM and even have it on my current Canon 90D, but it`s much more expensive.
Thanks for the review. I returned mine because I already have the RF16mm and 35 for my R8 and didn't see the justification of keeping it. I also have the RF24-240 to cover the wide ranges.
I’ve been toying with the idea, unfortunately I have to refinish it, after this video was made I noticed more imperfections with the paint so I currently have it sanded down getting prepped for paint
Great explanation, i am just getting into micro photography. I was wondering...what adapter do you think I'd need for an M50 EOS if i have Ef 25 (from a T90 vintage japanese model)?
It depends on what lenses you’re using, if you’re strictly using EF-M lenses you’ll need to find an extension tube for the EF-M lenses, if you’re using EF or EF-S lenses you’ll need a canon EF to EF-M adapter on top of the extension tube as the smaller APS-C Mirrorless using Mirrored glass ( EF or EF-S ) needs space from the sensor to the lens to focus correctly
Unfortunately I have not had the opportunity to test the Tamron lens yet, but I will say Tamrons lenses are just about as sharp as the Canon lenses if not on par with sharpness. The f/4 is an older lens now so I will say this. Whatever your budget is I would stay within those parameters, if the Tamron lens is used and you’re looking to buy it as long as it isn’t too expensive compared to a Used Canon 24-70 f/4, I would ultimately go with Tamron
@@JordanHandwerker Allright, thank you so much for your input! I can't really find any direct comparisons between the two, but am currently leaning towards the tamron indeed. I will definitely buy it used. And then it shall be around 650€, whereas the canon f4 would we around €450 used in my area. So it's about a 200€ price difference.
Thank you for actually showing sample images. Almost EVERY review I tried to find did NOT did this.. which I believe to be counter productive. So thank you sir!
@@JordanHandwerker a star tracker is not required but the biggest issue would be the chromatic aberration and and distortions. My normal lens for AP is actually one I built myself that has a 127mm aperture and 700mm focal length, it's not perfect but it only has chromatic issues. I think the optics in this video might be more for very wide field stuff or maybe moon and some planetary. But that's my opinion with the experience I have had with the 18-55 and my own lens.
@@deltacx1059 a star track is required to use this lens and get good results, the focal length and aperture are too narrow to let in enough light without getting star trailing. I believe @AstroBackyard made a video about it on his RU-vid channel
@@JordanHandwerker I don't have experience with that exact lens but I did use my brother's vivitar 420-800mm and it seemed to work well on the brighter objects like the moon, Saturn and Orion nebula. I don't own a tracker. Not trying to be mean about anything but his standard of good is kinda out there, no beginner to the hobby is going to shell out the money for a device that costs as much as entry level cameras unless they are already rich, yes it's harder without a tracker but I assure you it is doable with ok results without a tracker.
@@deltacx1059 it’s not really doable for deep sky objects without a star tracker as any lens with a narrower aperture f/2.8 or smaller will not capture enough light at longer telephoto focal lengths without star trailing. Even if you only set your shutter speed at 1” and your iso at 10,000 you’ll still get star trailing especially at longer focal lengths. Trust me, I know this first hand
Good job! Fold the sandpaper in 1/3's and it will stay together better. Finish with 1000 or 1200 and you can just buff them, it will last alot longer than spray bomb clear.
I just bought this printer on sale, and so far it seems awesome. I have had no issues with connecting it to WiFi, and the print quality is about the same as the PRO-100 it is replacing. However, I can not seem to find the Canon Utility program that lets you test printer head alignment and other features. Also, when I used my PRO-100 (years ago) it had options in the print dialogue to select the type of paper being used (ie. glossy, satin, matte, etc.). Is that only a feature for the PRO printers? My wife and I have it connected to both a Windows PC and a Mac.
You’ll have to download the program from canon, I think mine came with a CD for instillation but I’m sure canon has it on their website. That should allow you to change all types of settings
@@JordanHandwerker Thank you for the quick reply! Can't seem to find anything that I can download. I did find instructions to perform a print head alignment manually, and it worked ok. When I bought this printer (on sale) I did not realize how old this model is. Worried that Canon no longer supports it for modern computer OS.
@AJM547 it might be worth trying to contact Canon directly to speak with them, either the email or a phone call, they might even send out the CD that came with the printer
Perfect reveiw. Also ideal backpack for me. 500 AW II is great, when I need a lot of gear. 200 AW II is kinda small even for small shoots, 300 AW II is great. Unfortunately it is EOL now and the make version 300 AW III, which has unfortunately access from one side, which is a no-no for me.
Will the Canon EF-S 24mm f2.8 STM fit onto a full Frame body like the 5D? I know it's designed for APS-C bodies, but I've read competing views as to whether it will actually fit onto a full frame body, albeit with some vignetting.
I’m unsure off hand, If the 5D accepts EF-S lenses than yes, but I think Canon Full Frame DSLR’s only accept EF ( full frame canon lenses have the Red Dot on the lens and EF-S have a white square ) so you’d need to look at the lens mounting ring on the camera body for those indicators
thanks for this! my art studio doesn't have wifi. if i do all the initial set-up up at home, will i be able to use it in my art studio with a usb cord instead of wifi? this is what i currently do with my wifi-capable regular printer in my studio. also wondering about how you said that in order to print, you need to use canon's app. does that mean you can't just like go to file >print on a google doc or file in adobe illustrator? do you need to open the file in canon app and then print from there? thanks!
Yes, I think you’ll have to buy one though as it didn’t come with one. You can print through the regular printer app on your computer, but to get better control over how you print, the Canon App has better controls
Yes this will work on the 250D/SL3, as far as which is the “best” one, that’s a personal preference, each has their own unique features but most notably the difference in aperture, if you want a good lens that can shoot in lower light situations I’d have to recommend the EF 24-70 f/2.8, if you’re on a budget though I think even used for the price, the 24-70 f/4 is pretty solid
Thanks for informing me about the mini pro plus batteries I brought 2 with charger and I was curious I will send it back and stick with my originals that came with my mini pro4.
Unfortunately I have no idea, you should be able to change the paper size. You’ll probably need to look on Avery’s website to see what the correct size is
@colorwithkristi I don’t use it regularly for making prints unfortunately, it seems not many people buy photographs like that, in the US it’s definitely less expensive it’s about $50 US for just the color, but those aren’t the high yield cartridges
I have the STM version of this lens & it's quite good in terms of focusing. I don't use it very often cuz i have a 50mm lens but I'm planning on using on travel photography. Any thoughts?
It’s versatile enough for everything, but it doesn’t have the bokeh. I like the kit lens because it’s good for landscape, street photography and some portrait work
Is there a way of reducing the judder within this footage? My old Phantom was pretty bad but I can still see some juddering in this footage, it just does flow as smooth. Thanks :)
Uh well for the Phantoms they used grommets to help stabilize the camera during flight, I think you’d just need up upgrade those, other than that I’m unsure. I had a phantom 3 for a little while, I ended up needing to replace the ribbon cable and grommets that helped with my camera footage
@@JordanHandwerker I havent had it for so long, just seen so much great local footage I want to start up again, trying to decide between a mavic 3 pro or an air 4.
@aylward84 if it were me I would go Air 3 but I would assume DJI to put out another Air within a year or so. Mavic 3 pro you’ll get 3 focal lengths and higher quality video but it all depends on what you plan on doing with a drone! For basic social media I think the Air would be a solid choice as it’s not as expensive or heavy
@@JordanHandwerker Sorry, Mini 4 Pro, my bad. It will be for landscape photography painly, I often use a large telephoto lens on my camera so thinking the Mavic 3 Pro would be similar to that. Then you have the size and weight of the Mini 4 Pro, almost pocket size. I picked on up once and failed to believe it was a working drone, it felt like a hollow display model lol
@@aylward84 well just substitute the air 3 in my last comment with the mini 4, I love the mini 4 just for its size and ease of use with getting it up and going, but the mavic 3 pro is another level, I do plan on pick up a 3 pro eventually though
so it is not possible for Cinestyle to enhance dynamic range in any way since it's that first mixing of the channels which really defines the maximum range the image will have. It's just faking it by pushing those darker tones up while keeping the highlights neutral, which in turn reduces the tonal range of the mids
I mean it’s not a real cinestyle but it’s also faking a log profile for an 8-bit color science, I think it’s a good for people who want a flatter image out of camera, I used it over a custom profile on my RP for a while before I sold that camera.
I enjoy street photography with a Canon dslr so I have some nice prime glass. I’m well into an ethic of taking one lens and living with it for the day; it lets me travel light. Whenever I go to a new town or city, the kit lens is my go-to. The latest iteration with IS is more than adequate for those early exploration walks. Once I’ve started getting familiar with the new place I can choose the prime of choice for the day. Nothing worse on day-1 than going equipped for narrow backstreets then turning a corner and finding wide boulevards everywhere 😂 If going to a camera-risky environment I use a used kit lens & older rebel body. The megapixel count is low but not intolerable but if the rig gets trashed it’s not a disaster. Don’t ignore low price kit, think in terms of capabilities.
I will say out of all my street photography lenses the kit lens was my go to, it’s got a solid focal range and it’s pretty sharp! It might not be everyone’s favorite lens because it doesn’t have an f/1.8 aperture but in all honesty when shooting street photography I like to stop down regardless, even if I use a prime I still stop it down
I've seen a video featuring the MINI 4 Pro Drones, boasting a maximum range of 40,000 feet. However, at such distances, low battery issues become a concern. Similarly, Mavic Drones offer comparable capabilities, although the effectiveness may vary depending on controllers and antennas. It's important to consider that drone weight also significantly impacts performance. Nonetheless, I enjoyed your video and gave it a thumbs-up!❤
