Stuff like these toys and the ones from the new Captain America movie confirm my belief that my generation ('90s-'00s) lived in the golden age of kids' meal toys.
Spoiler alert: Mitch threw it away, then in 2042 finds an article boasting on the value of the holographic sticker. In 2042 it's worth $4.5M which is exactly enough to pay for 6 months of a 1 bedroom apartment. (Inflation 🙄) However he does find one of the nuggets that came with the happy meal and in 2042 it STILL looks the same 😮. He gets the nugget dipped in gold......it is now a gold nugget. And from that moment forward vows to never throw away nuggets again, turns them all into gold nuggets, and becomes president.........bummer on the sticker though :(
Disappointing considering the previous Minion toys were really collectible. My son loved them and wanted to collect them all. “Panini Family"? is that a sandwich or something?
I'm torn on these Happy Meal toys that aren't the typical toys we got in Happy Meals growing up (80s baby here.) It's probably much more environmentally friendly to do these types of "toys" vs the plastic toys that will just end up in a landfill, but the fun factor isn't there either.
It looks as if it is pain, frozen in a single stance to be looked at and mocked by thousands. It's likeness to be made, shipped, consumed, used, made shipped consumed, used, and eventually thrown to the side never to see the light of day again.
