yeah definitely that SATA enclosure is a bottleneck. however they do make a PCIE to NVME card but I am unsure if it would need any drivers for a boot drive but with technology these days, ye might not even need any. I use an i7-870, it's a dinosaur by today's standards but still works. it's definitely worth a shot for educational purposes and more content.
@@sumdood2035 it has a argb hub on the back. That comes with the case. The motherboard didn't have an argb header so I used a sata to argb device to power the argb hub that powers all the argb devices up to 6.
@@xpodx Ok. So you were controlling everything with the mode buttons on the case, rather than Aura, or some other motherboard control? That's more convenient anyway. RGB via software is a pain, IMO. Just ordered the case along with a used 3600xt motherboard combo, Nvme, RAM and ARGB Cooler. I was going to flip it but judging by how this case looks, I may find a use for it and keep it around. I have a main 5600x setup in a Lian-Li Mesh RGB case. Really loving that system too.
@@sumdood2035 yes that's correct, the case controls the argb devices. Have like 20 different modes or so. Pretty nice ones. But I did download gigabyte fusion to control the ram rgb. Oh nice! Yea it's a very nice case.
@@xpodx Oh no, I agree. It looks great! But I meant more for airflow. I am wondering if air can sneak in where the two pieces meet up. White would be awesome if I could find matching components. I'd probably be going with black, since it is pretty tough to find used white GPU's.
This case has a single combined front panel plug that doesn't appear to align with my ASUS P8Z68 Deluxe/Gen3 mobo's front panel pinout. Anyone aware of an adapter/workaround?
@1776_Reasons oh really? It's standard though.. if you're certain maybe there's a front panel male to female adapter on ebay. Otherwise you might have to depin it and get a little kit and repin each header.
@@xpodx Okay awesome. My motherboard doesn't have the RGB and/or ARGB header, so this would be a lifesaver. I appreciate the vid, and speedy reply. I subbed <3
@@xpodx Here's a link to the RU-vid video with sata hardware m.2 raid adapter ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-tcyxGxgtqOA.htmlsi=H0v8V-rhwEMetNir
hey! someone can tell me if this case is vertical amount gpu friendly? like when you take off all the slots Are there horizontal lines that do not allow connecting the displayports to the GPU? 😢
The only way you could vertical mount your card is to use the pcie slots. So if you found an adapter that mounts to the standard pcie expansion slots to make it vertical, that would do it.
@alirezajohari8916 welcome, yea idk the brand. Still high quality, I didn't check. I just used the dedicated button on the case to control the colors/effects.
Could use it if you have spare M.2s around yet your main system doesn't have any M.2 connectors but only SATA. I've ordered a lotta used M.2s on the cheap with lots of life left in them still but needed an enclosure for it. You can also use it for diagnostic purposes, again if you don't have M.2 connectors
@ambrosealpha870 the specs are i3-9100f 1080 16gb ddr4 700w 500gb nvme ssd and now 240gb m.2 sata. Cuz it's cheaper, gonna sell it for what I put into it. My main is i9-9900k 4090 64gb 1000w 14tb+
@Pikmew didn't look like damage until I turned it on.. I said in the video they sold it without testing it. So I took the hit cuz I didn't return it to get my money back.
Very nice video still trying to figure out how to play the beta it wants me to buy it on the hq launcher you should do a review of the beta I’m sure it’ll get views
