They are really hard to distinguish for me... but that's perhaps because I haven't been following them for too long. Just sweet cute voices. xD There are subtle differences, but it's more like in tone and pace, nothing super distinguishable. That's in contrast with JP... I feel like JP you could instantly know almost all of them because they are so different from each other. Then again, most of EN also have pretty distinguishable voices... probably intentional.
Calli: Have confidence! *gets a question wrong* Calli: No confidence! Also I know this is random but the scratching sound before the questions is making me think of Neo TWEWY.
i dont watch their any vtuber streams and i barely watch their clips anymore and i was faster than cali and more accurate, though i did get the How would we sound bite wrong as well.
She unfortunately has no idea what she's talking about. Yes, a Dynamic should be very close to your mouth, but you don't want to be "literally eating it" because unless you have an Electro-Voice mic with Variable-D in it, you will be increasing the Proximity Effect and adding a ton of bass to the recording/mic audio. I suspect if she has experience with this, she simply purchased a cheap audio interface that does not have enough gain to drive the Dynamic she paired with it You generally want a dynamic to be about 6 inches away from your mouth with the gain properly set, and you also want it in a position where you are speaking past it, not speaking directly into it. So positioned above, to the right or left, or below your mouth, thus making tracking still completely viable. Also if you speak directly into a mic, every P and B sound you make will force air directly into the diaphragm of the microphone, creating what is called a Plosive which is just the mic making an unpleasant popping sound Its actually extremely ironic that she is talking about tracking quality as her own horrible ass rigging has her mouth permanently forced-open. (Not her fault, Cover is known for having a horrendously bad internally-developed tracking program because they are a "tech company", even though Vtube Studio surpassed their program years ago in every conceivable way) Generally allover pretty bad advice to be giving out to new Vtubers, especially considering the mic she is talking about, the SM7B, is literally the most popular microphone in all of content creation and livestreaming
If I learned anything playing this game, it's a lot easier to mistake Mumei for Gura then it is Gura for Mumei. Then again, that could easily be with the set of lines I got but yea.
I think the easiest way to tell the difference is that gura is more aggressive, mumei is a little bit more soft spoken. Also Gura pronounces her u a little more.
