Rumor has it that a new rc company out of Texas called "Bandit Models" is contemplating on making a Ziroli size Hellcat all composite. They are talking about museum like quality and even commissioning "real pilots" to sculpt a pilot specifically for it. I haven't seen an all composite Hellcat yet in the market, sounds like an interesting project. If they make one I'll be the first to buy one!
Amazing!! Looking real good there! Looks like 1/4 or 1/5 scale, can't tell exactly. Love the canopy and the pilot figure. However the plane would look much better with a 3 blade prop. Excellent!!!!
That engine sounds gorgeous. The only way to go, I think. Why fly a weedwhacker or a dentist's drill when there are such awesome radials? I know, I know, the buy-in is...impressive, but you get such an amazing engine for your $$. God bless Moki for making such jewels.
One of the few RC planes that has realistic details, like a 1:48/1:32 plastic models has too. The cockpit and the landing gear are real, as well as the panel lines. This is not common in RC world. Very nice plane.
Excellent, even the pilot uniform looks correct ! My dad flew an F6F with VF-11 2nd tour WESPAC on CV-12 USS Hornet. He led a division into many battles, including against the Yamato. Commander John W Ramsey USN 1941-63. Appreciate keeping the history alive.
Thanks for watching. This was modeled after Butch O"Hare's Hellcat. Squadron Commander VF-3 (while on the USS. Lexington.) #12 A tribute to men like your dad who served to secure our freedoms. God bless
Beautiful scale aircraft. Wow. Did you test fly it yet? If so how would you rate the power and performance with the Moki in it? Also, might you know whether or not a Moki 180 will fit in a Ziroli P47?
Here's a video of it flying ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-58UM995ZpOY.html I'm not sure if it would fit in a Ziroli P-47. I've never seen anyone try it.
