I met Blue Lou Marini on the street outside The House of Blues in New Orleans in 95. He's a really nice guy and an incredible talent. He's like Coleman Hawkins with his foot deep in Lester Youngs ass.
Elliott I messaged you before..I try to be a guitar player but suffered nerve damage in both arms because I was in a car crash as a child and went through my Dads windscreen severing tendons and nerves etc. I CAN play but mostly bar chords because I don't feel many of my finger tips..can you give me any tips how to play better? I know I could never be a maestro such as you, but Django Reinhart was ace..do you think I could possibly play professionally? it would be massive if you either said yes OR no..I can take it either way..ps Im 18 now
It's a massive "YES" - you can do whatever you put your mind to. It may require different techniques that many use, but make your music !!! Go for it :)
@@ejrandall maestro Elliot can I please link you up with my friend Jeff ( professor) Galey who has also helped me with the nerve damage on my hands? He encourages me like you do..so send him a HI🖐if you can and look at his guitar stuff..God bless Elliott You have made my year
Beautiful to see you back on RU-vid Elliott ;-) Keep them coming. great to see the room & the sofa with the &. cool to have the Guitars mounted on the wall now looking good. It takes me straight back to the day me & brother Dave, with our Joe & young Joe Driffield were all in there recording Sax. Great day. I too soon (hopefully) will resurface more in the public RU-vid world with new Mandrill stuff, Radically different line up, same old song styles... ;-) Great to see Elliott Best Wishes Pete on the Isle of Wight
I’ve been researching you Elliot big time and continue to find a music style like no other-I love that. I had no idea you played the solo on “Reelin’ In The Years”. Love that solo too. This video is sensational. You both got such great feel, chops and strong connection. I’m inspired. Thank you
