When life gets too much, this sing lifts me up...I wish my dear sweet friend could dance 'on the rooftop' with me but he's so far away so I'm sending this song to you, Sweety, and dancing with you in my mind ❤🪄🎶💫🕺 💃💫🫂😘💫
The "Go on" from Les to Ray is so heartwarming a (spoilers) willingness to let this song he's been so protective of be sung after 2 decades. But then Ray allowing Les to sing it well it's been 25 years and it still brings tears to my eyes
One of the best films ever made, I have the DVD but noticed it was on Prime so had a reason to watch it just because it was there. I must have watched it a couple of dozen times and still laugh out loud. Excellent cast brilliant music. I’m off to watch it right now 😂
Jimmy Nail, one of the most underrated voices in the music industry. Any film that has Jimmy, Tim Spall, Bill Nighy & Billy Connolly in has to be great, and it is.
Life is so hectic, but James Taylor is one of only a handful of recording artists/singers that put me at peace almost immediately. So glad he’s been and always will be a part of my musical life. ‘Love Always’ Matthew 21:22
I just find it funny they were talking about a 50th birthday as a big occasion. I still listen to bands from the 70s era while now I am the one about to turn 50.... And bands like Uriah Heep are going out there with Mick in his 70s now.
Id just like to update my comment from 3 years ago, im now 42, watched this video for the 1st time in ages, im crying again, no idea why, maybe its just the sheer brilliance of the song i dont know, Brian walking onto the stage with his guitar ruins me
This song was playing in the delivery room at the hospital when my first child was born. It's in the background on his birth video and it has meant so much to us ever since. I can't hear it without getting a little emotional.
I remember nearly passing out when I heard Foreigner covered this song. Then I got bitterly upset when I heard their version and they'd changed nearly all the words.
Found this movie while browsing the miscellaneous section at Blockbuster’s 20+yrs ago. Watched it 2-3 times before taking it back and found it again yrs later at a used dvd store and bought it. Such a great and underrated film with great music
I saw just this scene, with no context, at my buddies house almost 25 years ago and have been trying to to remember the name of the movie and the song since RU-vid became a thing and let me tell you it hits just as hard at 39 as it did at 14
