@@samuelclemons508 proof? I was a member of the congregation for 9 nine years. He even put up a website on it. The same year he was mentioning how they were in debt and behind on utilities.
I remember the poignant, solemn, and tense atmosphere on the day 9/11 happened. I was in 1st hour of 9th grade and they had Channel One on but it was abruptly interrupted when the news of the planes had hit. The school was more quiet than I had ever heard it before or since. I also remember when the 3-day Northeast blackout of 2003 happened. I remember so many people in fear that another attack was going to take place and how my sister-in-law was so terrified because the day before, she and my brother had dropped their 1st baby off at grandma's for the weekend in Ohio. 😔❤
I'm not convinced he's not Elvis' son. Many folks don't resemble one of their parents. But his voice is a good clue there may be a genetic connection, along with blood tests, Supreme Court decisions and eye witnesses who testified the presence of both Angelique and Elvis were together in 1961. As a very young dancer she would not have been credited for any role in the Blue Hawaii movie. Elvis was well known to be very promiscuous with many women throughout his life - especially in the early 60's timeframe. Elvis's Sr family had a history of weight issues on his mother's side, Elvis himself even struggled toward the end of his life at 42 - not surprising Jr would also struggle. Putting emotions aside, facts seem to strongly support the legitimacy of this man being Elvis Jr. Apparently, Elvis Jr is no longer performing and is "keeping a low profile", and with the loss of Lisa Marie we no longer have the blood lineage to enjoy. The performance world is brutal and takes many early age casualties. Rest Jr! God rest in peace: Jr's mom Dorothy/Angelique
I was 22 when this happened. I still can never forget the images, the horror; the newer generation will never understand the fear you feel. It's something that will never leave me. To me, the world changed forever that day.
I can definitely relate to them despite that i was 12 when it happened. Even if it happened when you were alive, I couldn't even fathom what people who were there experienced 😢
What concerns me is how cold, cruel and unconcerned these kids are - Most on phones or fiddling like they're inconvenienced. Having watched AS the towers were struck and fell, like many reading this I'm sure, I've seen more emotional reactions to 5,000 year old bits of history. This just.. makes me sad all the way around.
My uncle Frank Velez was the organizer of the festival for many years. I am glad that his legacy continues with Mr. Cardona. I am going to visit Meriden next summer hopefully in time for the festival.
They just won't ever be able to understand not only the feeling that day but how the world fundamentally changed. You want to be angry at these kids but I guess it's like when we saw vietnam war footage at that age the disconnect. They'll have their own pearl harbour in their lifetime that will also be relegated to the history books
