Hello and welcome to the channel! We're Devon and Isis, and we love all things geek culture, but the one thing that truly brings us together...is anime. -Names carry power in the Bleachverse. The last time Yhwach kept calling Ichibei by his name, he got muted. So he just settled for calling him "osho" this time. That's why Ichibei was able to revive himself by asking Ichigo to call his name. -Ichigo isn't a Shinigami by birth because his father was on an artificial body. He had some hidden Shinigami powers but he's mostly a human-Quincy hybrid. Ichigo's circumstances are an anomaly. -Over time you'll understand better what's wrong with the world/s. The fact that Ichibei knew that Ichigo couldn't stop Yhwach and, yet, asked him to do so, is a strong point about what Bleach stated since the Soul Society arc: the Shinigami are just as bad, if not worse, than the Quincies.
SK is disassembled because it was initiative of 4 noble clans, he’s basically just a Duracell battery rn, and Ichibei’s words are basically foreshadowing of what he wanted to do with Ichigo….. honestly it’s terrible, and not honorable from Ichibei’s side, but he is who he is, one of villains who rules this world lol
Thats retconned and no longer canon with this new anime. You saw in the flashback with Yhwach and Soul King his limb, kinda just popped off when the splitting of the Primordial Sea has happened.
@@apotheosis1660if soul king attacks shinigami upon being released from seals then it's still cannon. And regardless of how it happened, turning Ichigo into a lump of flesh would still be a requirement. Ichigo planning to backstab Ichigo still remains part of agenda for ichibei until ukitake saves him with the kamikake.
@@praz7 Just because the darkness that comes from Yhwach attacks the Seireitei... does not mean that its canon that the Five Noble Houses split the Soul King. We literally see it in the episode that the Soul King's limbs just split apart when he splits the worlds. It also depends if Jugram says that his true enemy is the Shinigami.
@@apotheosis1660 The limbs splitting apart is symbolic. If they intend to add CFYOW later on, there's no reason to draw the Shinigami ancestors personally ripping them apart. Plus we never learned how they did it in the first place. It's highly unlikely they simply carved at his body like barbarians, especially because the SK was already sealed inside the crystal.
Then why are they flying on orihimes magical carpert? Bleach kinda forgots that everyone can fly and winged characters are flapping their wings for nothing
@@DuBstep115 I think because Squad Zero royale Palace Spiritual pressure is intense makes sense since the soul king resides there.. Rukia and Renji were barely able to stand up when first arrived as well.
The only person that could have killed the Soul King was Ichigo. Yhwach knew that stabbing him wouldnt do anything so he left the blade inside because he knew Ichigo was gonna grab the blade, his blood would reject the Soul King, and that he would strike him down. Also keep in mind that being the Soul King is not a good thing. He is essentially just a THING to hold the worlds together. So, Ichigo becoming the new Soul King, would result in him sharing the same fate
I am glad that we are receiving more context to Yhwacks motivation. He seemed so comicbook villian in the manga, and it just didn't seem to connect to 'Old Man Zangetsu' and felt very disjointed. But now the connections are clearer. The three-world system did not have a place for the Quincy. It created a realm for the other three (living, soul reapers, and hollows), but not one for the Quincy. This left them vulnerable to attacks from Hollows, who are attracted to the fragment of Yhwack in each of them. Their method of defending themselves obliterates the Hollow soul, preventing their return to the cycle of reincarnation. The Quincy are effectively rendered a defect within the three-world system, which was created to divide the world inti life snd death and manage the balance of souls between them. Yhwack is fighting to create a new world where the Quincy have a place to belong. He is taking the lives of every Quincy yet to be born into account, and feels the anguish of every Quincy who has ever died (as the fragment of his soul contained in them is returned upon their death). Every current Quincy may be a necessary sacrifice to the "greater good" of the Quincy yet to come. He is looking at a wide scope, and is acting in what he believes is in the best interests to minimize the future anguish of his people. Compared to 'Old Man Zangetsu', whose scope is limited to just Ichigo and himself, and he is still motivated by the desire to reduce anguish (but only within that smaller scope). That's just my new take though, which is a far cry from the paradox of the manga (lover of peace that murders his allies, benefactor of his people that parasitically feeds off of and sacrifices them, willing to kill everyone in every world in order to create a world without death, ect). Feels like it is coming together more now.
The only reason I’m not telling you the origins of the Soul King is because, while originally explained in a light novel, the anime is changing and including so much new stuff that I think they might explain it in the future. Just know that Yhwach has a rightful reason to want to kill the Soul King and “end his eternal humiliation”.
This is not spoilers you can read it!!! Soul king is sealed to balance 3 worlds and his arms and legs heart are cuts to sealed him in crystal he is just like dead but still alive that why yhwach wanted to kill him and rescue him from suffering l!!!! (Sorry about my Grammer)
Soul Reapers can fly everywhere except in the Seiretei. That's the only place where they can't because of the Sekkiseki stone. Ichigo needed the cloak from Yoruichi to be able to fly when he rescued Rukia back in the Soul Society Arc. Since the Quincies transfered their buildings to the Seireitei a lot of the Sekkiseki isn't there anymore. That's why Rukia and Renji were able to do these long gliding jumps.
Soul King was dismembered of hands, legs and some internal organs so he won't go against powerful shinigamis like bald monk and different shinigami royal clans like Byakuya and Yoruichi families. Soul King was the most powerful being in the world, he was mix of all kinds like Ichigo, he was made into a puppet entity which only does utility function as keystone of modern world where soul reapers have the best position. Soul King function is to control souls flow and reincarnation.
This being ,"Adnyeus"* was the first to be born with The Almighty, except it had four pupils in each eye instead. It'd actually foreseen the ancestors' decision to dissect it alive (because they themselves felt threatened by it), and chose to let it happen for the greater good. <spoiler/spoiler> *"Soul King" was the name Ichibei gave it, after it'd been dismembered and sealed up in a glass case. Tokinada would later say that the Soul King was both a "sacrificial lamb and a curse", since its creation led to the world splitting up into three: Hueco Mundo, Human World and Soul Society. Juha Bach had wanted to restore the original world, from before there was a linchpin. And he'd do it by merging all three worlds back together <spoiler/spoiler>
2:37 For a good minute or so I was just here trying to drink my tea -- I'd bring it up to my mouth feel the strong urge to bust out laughing and then I gotta put it back down, and it's so I'm looping 🤦♂ -- You not about to make me spit out my tea all over everything this early in the morning. 🤣🤣 Girl that's crazy!
Ichibei knew everything. Don't trust that guy. Also remember what Mayuri said, "did they kill the Keystone?". The Soul King is just a corpse key stone that holds the 3 worlds together. The flashback at the beginning shows his arms and legs cut off. The question is who did it?
Don't know if you have generally addressed it, but more than most reactors it seems like often you get fansubs instead of the official ones... Do you know why that is? I ask because a lot of the times these fansubs will re-word things kinda chaotically and it will often lead to confusion by the viewer. Next episode is going to be a doozy of a lore dump.
Most spiritual beings dont fly but their spiritual pressure makes everything possible. They can stand on air. They can also "fly" by focusing their pressure around their bodies instead of just their feet. Higher lvl soul reapers do this as easy as they can breathe. Think of it like any Ghost/haunting movie youve ever seen. They technically dont fly, they kinda just own the air and do whatever
@@DuBstep115 you do realize they dont NEED those wings to fly right? Its just a theme/aesthetic. Ulquiorra was a bat before he evolved and toshiros sword is a dragon. These are both animals that have wings..
It was the exact moment this one ad start and the face of the woman in the ad exactly match up the moment “expressionless wtf face” I thought it was isis in cosplay 😂
@MphoNgoepe-o2i i mean, he's in a world built on his father's corpse that treats him and his people as anomalies that should not exist, and tells them to live with it. That's like taking racism to a whole other level.
While he's justified, he winning is honestly pretty bad for everyone. A peaceful world can't exist under Ywwch's rule for reasons that should be explained later
Why Soul King dismembered in a state like that? I hope the anime will answer that question later on But we already know Soul king mutilated by whom . It is Ichibei, the monk
Some clarifications(not spoilers); Y'all seen at least 2 times how Soul King became like this,Ichibei did it. High Level Soul reapers(and any other race)can fly using Reishi from the surroundings. Yes,Soul King is the first being ever. Ichibei(or Yhwach) is the 2. The other questions will be answered next episode.. Edit: it seems like some people didn't pay attention to the Flashbacks lmao.
Soul King was not the first being ever. If you read the lore properly, you'd already know pre-amputated Adnyeus already co-existed with other human and spirits before he became Soul King. He is not the God (God from the perspective that most people understand). There is no other way to explain this without giving out spoiler contents from the novel. I hope Kubo will include more info about the Soul King, because most casual Bleach watchers still don't understand why he was limbless, or why he was suspended in the crystal.
@@f4rensabriYes, people saying that Ichibei sealed the Soul King lmao, when it wasn't him but rather "those beings" who sealed him. So I'm wondering if they are anime watchers or manga readers who don't understand the lore and didn't even look into it.
@@Fatalbeast22 Ichibei is obviously involved in the original sin, but he is not the one who caused it and he was not the one who came up with the idea of dismembering the Soul King, but rather the ancestor Tsunayashiro who feared the Soul King even though he was sealed. Ichibei, on the other hand, believed that even the end of the universe had already been seen by the Soul King.
@@Fatalbeast22 It doesn’t. Rather it makes it clear it was the Royal Families. People are just desperate to make Ichibei into a villain because they can’t grasp nuance or what a morally grey character is.
