This reminds me of the two sailors lost off Sydney Heads in 1987 when their Oberon class submarine submerged while they were working in the fin. They were presumed drowned and their bodies never recovered.
I know it's silly to ask a question of a 7 year old video but I don't see anyone talking about it so there were a couple l things I wondered about. What is the white cloth that appeared and the small device that popped up on deck on the left.
Just to let everyone know this video was done in 2017 "HMS TORBAY" this submarine was decommissioned in 2017 so this is probably one of the last ever videos of her. Its also probably why the royal navy allowed this video to happen.
1) I hope for the sub it can dive quicker than that. 2) I hope also it doesn't let escape those air bubbles for a long time or its position will not be a secret.
Sooo, is this a privately owned submarine that you the uploader owns, a friend or relative owns, your employer owns, or did you pull some strings with a nearby naval base to get this footage?
