Thanks for showing the traditional way to make moka pot "espresso"! 99% of the RU-vid videos about how to use the moka pot are wrong. The only thing I do differently is, I don't overfill the basket with coffee, I level it off so it's not too strong. The only other good video I've seen about the correct way to use the moka pot is Annalisa J moka pot video. She's Italian.
Your pot is filthy it needs cleaning with water and a small Sponge. And also after using it should be done, then dismantled and dried throughly ready for next use
Looks dang clean for a 14. Especially the original pipes. I have a 2005, and though the bike's minty, the right tail pipe developed rust. Maybe too many short rides. I would have liked to get a set of BC s but couldn't afford 800 bucks. So gave Amazon a hundred for a couple of slashed slip-ons. Eh, what can ya do. Looks great.👍
I hate to say this, but the old Triumph sound just isn't there anymore. Listen to a '69, and you'll see what I mean. Too tame sounding now. But I'm sure it's a good bike, otherwise.
Wash kit after each brew. Do not leave it till just before use and do it properly.Remove the gasket and rinse. 2 Minutes was enough for me as I was getting a bad taste in my mouth. Cheers
The inside of that pot looks disgusting! That filter has to be completely clogged up with the amount of coffee grounds he put in it. However, he is so happy with its performance he posted this video 😕😕😕 #soapnwater
There is this common belief of not cleaning the moka, this just means you are drinking old residue of the coffee oils. It only makes the coffee more bitter. I will recommend washing it.
I love how his method works for him. To those who are critical let it go. That's not how I do it but seeing it come out like tar is very tempting. I would probably need a gallon of milk to make it palatable. The build up on that thing is amazing to see also. I would not have thought that possible. Touche!
He did it the correct traditional way Italians have done it since 1933, according to Bialetti instructions. It's perfect results every time. 99% of the RU-vid videos about how to do it are wrong. Only the Annalisa J moka pot video is correct. The only thing I do differently is I level off the coffee with a straight utensil handle, I don't want a mound of coffee on the basket making it too strong. But many people like it strong.
@@bradleystenson1344 I don't use soap, but I thoroughly clean my Moka with water after each use. That way, it definitely doesn't get as gunked-up as the one in the video and you don't have to worry about your pot getting stained or your coffee tasting soapy. If people are so obsessive-compulsive that they have to clean their pot with soap or put it into the dishwasher, those new ones made from stainless steel are probably better.
Trying to sound Italian hahaha. Fail. Over packing the coffee grounds. Big mistake 🤦♂️. Get a new moka pot. This is the cause of not drying your moka pot. It develops oxidation and rusts. You need to dry it. Don't listen to those that don't wash their moka pot. Really if you think about it, people say don't pack it down, but the device packs it down.
SORRY MY FRIEND AFTER WATCHING THIS YOUR COFFEE MUST TASTE SO BAD IT MUST BE UNDRINKABLE CMON HONESTLY JUST WATCH HOW OTHER PEOPLE MAKE IT.BUT IF YOU LIKE IT THAT WAY .. EACH TO THERE OWN..
You have a science experiment happening in your moka pot. This could be the origins of the corona virus...your moka pot. The second shooter on the grassy knoll ..is your moka pot. Alien abductions complete with anal probing---> your moka pot. But, nice music.
This is so disgusting! This is not how we use the moka pot! Of course not everybody in Italy cleans his moka pot after every use, but you should. The coffee oils get rancid after some time so you should clean your moka pot once in a while. My girls nonna cleaned it with clear water after every use. We had them all, 1 cup, 2 cups, 4 cups, 12 cups. Trust me. Never overfill the coffee. Use it at maximum heat, even use hot water to fill the base if you want to save a minute. Remove the pot from the heat as soon as you hear the water. Its ok if there is a little water left in the base. Remember this is a moka and not an espresso machine. Still you can make great cappuccino or latte macchiato with a moka pot. Oh and some Italians clean it with water and soap and the world still keeps turning. Just don't put it in a dishwasher! Ciao.
You're right about everything; but the best flavor is from following Bialetti instructions to fill the reservoir with cold or room temperature filtered water, and cook it on a preheated medium electric stove or a low to medium-low gas flame, depending on pot size and how strong the over is. Hot water and high temperature stove don't allow time for: the coffee to bloom, or for the right kind of pressure to gradually build inside the pot, or for the water to move through the coffee at the right speed and temperature to create the best flavor. The water inside the Moka is never supposed to boil, and if you start with hot water and cook it on a high heat it will boil.
