I HAVE BEEN AROUND THE CITY AT MORE THAN 20 FOREIGN MONEY EXCHANGERS LOOKING FOR SCOTLAND CURRENCY FROM SMALL DENOMINATIONS TO LARGE DENOMINATIONS, THE LATEST DENOMINATIONS FOR MY COLLECTION, BUT IN MY CITY, MEDAN CITY, INDONESIA, THERE IS NO SCOTLAND CURRENCY.... BUYING ONLINE IS AFRAID OF BEING CHEATED
Love the video its beautiful David. Not sure if it my eyes but the visual is blurry and wobbly until you slow or stop and then pan out, but a wonderful wonder thank you <3
I've been watching you for 6 months or so, basically from your walk through Totnes video, as it was a place I had some great experiences. I can see what you're attempting to do. For a couple of years I've bought a couple dozen Airfix / Tamiya plastic model kits. I've only made a few of them - but it reminds me of happier more carefree days from childhood. Even browsing my local model shop, here in Brisbane AU, is a great experience. And sometimes I pick up a kit, that I have a 90% chance of never actually making. But It puts a warm smile on my face. Blokes in their late 50's / 60's are a big part of this resurgence in model making. We outnumber the kids browsing the shop. It's old farts like me who keep Airfix going, as we're reliving part of our childhood. No bad thing in this messed-up world... I feel sorry for kids today - they have been robbed of so much in their childhood that we all took for granted, and they don't even know it.
Hi there, thanks for taking the time to share and watch my antics, I loved making airfix models, but always seemed to mess them up doing the paint job, but it didn't matter, to me they where perfect. I think that's where the truth of childhood lays, the joy of play, it's the imaginary world we enter, my mind made the perfect paint job, only as a child do we have the time to truly find that place. As a adult paying bills, been in traffic jams, working in jobs that can if you let them pigeon hole us, take us away from the most wonderful, magical thing called PLAY. The saddest thing is we were all lead to believe that the adult world is the magical land of freedom and choice, and in lots of ways it is, but it expects you to leave childhood, but it never was suppose to be 100%. I feel the adult world doesn't allow for play. It's great to see that in the last few years your grabbing back what is rightly yours, make, collect, but promise me one thing... when you do make a model, it only is complete when you rush it through the air, dive bombing making the rat-a-tat sound of manic machine fire! Again thanks for commenting, I cant put into words what a tonic and a lift to help me get off my ass and finish my dream it is!
@@davidbanford8705 Today, kids don't use their imaginations like that. They are receivers of someone else's imagination via tablets or computer games. And now, much of what they are seeing is made by artificial intelligence tools, and not even people creating it from scratch. This will have terrible consequences for the rest of their lives, and they will achieve less. It's all in the words: Imagine Im-a-gine Im a Gi Ne I'm a Genie Imagine I-magi-ne I Magi/Magician Ne ('ne' - the legal name of a man, 'Man' from Latin "Men' - 'Mentis' - to think)
Thanks Anna. Brave, well needy could be a better word 😁 but at the moment it seems like an impossible hill to climb, I've never in all the years of aiming for the dream been so sure it wont happen, I need other voices out there, to really know it's not just me been a fool. Needy, oh yes, and bless you for been what you always are, the true gift, a super power... the power to, simple care!🙂
Dave, you know we loved The Wonder Years, look how many BBQ’s and cheesecakes we’ve had since standing in your shop that first time. No one knows what they’re capable of achieving until they take the first step on the journey, but you do have a fantastic support team and we’ll be seeing you soon xx
Pip you and Andy are my A team, my Wonder Woman and Karate Kid, two of the famous five. I know you will be there on open day, with, fingers crossed cheese cake in both Hands, Andy with lashings of Ginger beer..... sorry I mean cream in hand.
Aww dave, wonder years was awesome, those horrible people are just shallow minded and don't have that fascination or childlike amazement anymore they lost that freedom of spirit, nostalgia isn't a childish state of mind. I loved working there, you were the best boss. And created something amazing for all ages. Don't let the world get you down dave. 😊
Thanks Natasha you add wind into my sails. Its been so many years of one step forward to two back, I need to head forward, what every the out come, I cant let go, if I need to, till its complete. But in my heart I can but only believe that it will work!
where are you based. I'm a vintage toy collector based in manchester, might be interested in some bits. are you collector, seller? sorry never watched this channel before!
Hi there, I'm very slowly reopening a little attraction in Cornwall, its to do with everything to do with childhood, toys, tv, music, you name it, sadly I'm a keeper not a seller, and only buy what I need, luckily I started collecting years ago when you could go to a carboot and get a bin liner of vintage star wars for a quid! its a very slow proses due to also running two shops. but I hope to get something up and running in the next few years, I want to make it a one of a kind so its taking a bit longer than hoped! I plan to put info and vlogs of the making of the attraction here on youtube, so watch this space :)
You did what! 😄 you might need therapy, I cant quite explain why I put these vlogs on, 100s of the buggers, badly filmed, crap sound and boring 😃 But it's all leading to a, hopefully a small secret attraction in Cornwall UK, a place that only can be found if you know the secret, watch this bumbling mess is the first step! So a massive thank you for watching 😀ru-vid.comgaming/emoji/7ff574f2/emoji_u1f603.png
Anna I cant tell you how magical it was, I now have 21 vlogs of the place to bore the shhhh..... I mean impress, amaze and educate you :) But honest Ti, Nat, fad and Fras (they do sound like a jazz lounge band) loved it to :)
A right dumpy little flood plane toilet town with an open sewer running through it. Crap chips, and beer straight from the river. Wonky houses and a very very small gene pool. Well, that’s London for ya.
Controversially Yorkshire puddings are in the top 10 ingredients for a UK Christmas dinner - see 'Tenable' for proof. Morrisons looks reasonable though David.
