its possible the northern islands were used for testing features which they talk about some island they used to test feature ideas most of which got cut in the IGN halo infinite devs react to 29 minute speedrun but thats just maybe
@@snihyper you would think so maybe, but knowing 343 and all the cut content in halo games if i had to bet they likely kept it there, and kept it there so there was stuff outside the playable area too, and it was probably going to be the campaign dlc later but when that was scrapped they probably didnt touch it
It’s actually very disappointing that so little effort was put into this game post launch. It could have been incredible and more developed but the devs got lazy and you can clearly see it. Lack of new weapons, limited customization, lack of a Campaign DLC, and lack of anything particularly new or interesting. Very disappointing
It's annoying that the Northern Islands are obviously set up to be playable content, but are half finished even though they're easily accessible with a banshee or wasp.
I don’t mean to be the bearer of bad news, but I didn’t want anyone to get their hopes up. A lot of people are talking about future campaign dlc, about a month ago 343 and Xbox confirmed they will no longer be supporting the campaign of Halo Infinite, they permanently canceled all planned single player dlc. Though they will continue supporting Halo Infinite multiplayer with future updates and dlc. 343 stated that they will completely scratch Halo Infinite and rework the entire game and plot from the ground up in the next Halo game, they will continue the story in their issued books.
I really think northern and southern islands might be some small tier campaign dlc some day. If not Northern island was definitely meant to be playable
The one thing that annoys me about exploring this map is getting sucked down when you try to cross a gap or when I launch my self across the map because it’s really fun. There’s invisible walls that prevent players from getting across unless they’re in a flying vehicle.
the cave on the northern island reminds me of this strange bit of infinite super early in development where it was just a cutscene of chief going in a similar looking cave finding cortana putting her in a chip then punching the chip to destroy it. there is a very small chance its the same cave as a reused asset. edit: went and found the clip of the cave i was thinking of but its defiantly a different cave. here is the video if by unseen halo if you want it ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-IZZtFz2n4Lc.html
I don't think playing in CO-OP will enable you to do anything else / go further than what you would be able to do in single player. But I can sure play some coop! JustFredrik on Xbox Live! :)
All this unused space could be a updated version to the campaign like A another pelican down mission involving maybe a spartan that is still alive. 🤷♂️
Seems like they're pulling a destiny card and getting rid if content from the northern island and making it dlc. Instead of pushing it with the vanilla campaign.
