@@Dorset.Motorcycles how long have you had it on ? I’ve got the exact same exhaust but seems to be sucking too much air. Load of power every now and then …not ideal so have booked it into Yamaha crescent
@@tristanirvine9288 I’ve only have in a couple of months, not properly riding it yet as waiting on upgrading my a2 so maybe as only some small rides I haven’t noticed
I’ve just got my first bike and I was wondering. Shouldn’t you clean the chain first, then the wheels and then the rest of the bike? I know that on cars you always start with the rims, because they are the dirtiest.
@@Dorset.Motorcycles Thats what I thought, seems like a lot of people say that the 900 is the best of both worlds kind of. Its what im going for as well as my next motorcycle. Thanks for replying! Ride safe
Awesome bike! Yes the seat is definitely a better look in my opinion and also gives a little bit more comfort for long journeys, although still gets sore after a couple of hours riding! Thanks for watching
No, this is the manufacturer recommendation torque setting, you loose a couple drops of coolant during installation but other than that no risk at all.
@@AdamKlawonn it was mainly looks that made me decide to get it, it’s been a very long time since I used the stock seat so don’t quite remember the difference, but for pillion the stock seat is a little more raised. After around an hour on the saddle both rider and pillion start to get sore on the flat seat
@@Dorset.Motorcycles got it, thanks! I’ve been toggling between simply having the stock seat reupholstered or getting the flat seat, and possibly having that reupholstered. I think I’m going to stick with the stock seat. There’s a local guy who can reshape it, wrap it in something cool.
Sorry I'm not commenting on the xsr900, lovely bike tho I took one out a couple of weeks ago and fell in love with it, where did you source the pipe for the xsr700? The only akro I've found for it is the one that comes up to almost meet the side of the seat (not a fan of that one), is it a genuine or one of the very good copies (sorry if I've offended you suggesting it may be a copy)
@@heathamies thanks for watching! Have a look for the akrapovic mt07 exhausts as they’re a direct fit onto the xsr700 as they have the same exhaust/engine etc. Mines the Akrapovic race exhaust for mt07 and they also do a couple options of under belly exhaust that’ll fit the xsr. Hope that helps
The ride quality of an xsr700 will always be better than an mt07. All day everyday😂!! The rear shock is a little soft so it makes wheelies soo effortless as you’ve seen in the video.
indeed, that's why I probably get it while in eco mode only. At the same time, I have seen dyno tuned bikes that also suffer from the same issue. I am getting a dyno check on Monday to see my AFR ratio throughout the RPM range.
