Nice video! I had the same lamb entrée and chocolate dessert on my previous flight to Madrid. Definitely the best meal I've had on a plane, so delicious! For appetizer you could ask for a serving of the soup, I've done that several times and the crew obliged every time :) Btw I also prefer CX's A350 much more than their 77W.

@@walkwithjonas7920 I just realised I messed up as well by getting rid of my rental car the night before I travel so I have to go to JFK to drop it off then back to Manhattan then back to JFK the next day 🥴. Looking at getting the LIRR instead of subway.

Cathay and many airlines trying to replace their fleets or refresh their exisiting old jets. Cathay just need to keep up the quality as Hong Kong based large airline
@@7ddruff17 Cathay will introduce the Aria suite end of this year on the older 777-300ERs. I was scheduled to fly LHR-HKG end of the year on a 777 so I thought there’s a chance to score an aria suite plane. However, schedule changed and now it’s an a350 which I prefer over a 777 but will not have aria…

Oh it is really appreciated! But I know that 99% of the people just take your work for granted, I surely don’t. Actually I think the experience onboard is heavily influenced by the service of the crew members. Apart from the safety aspects of course. I felt that CX is still understaffed and there were only 1.5 crew members to take care of the entire aisle which was a lot of people!
Dear Jonas, Thank you for this beautiful video and for sharing your enthusiasm and excitement during this first long-haul flight with CX. I felt exactly the same things during my first CX 260, 101, 100 and 261 flights in 1996. Business class has become so phenomenal since the old Marco Polo class in which there were premium economy type seats but with a better pitch of 55 inches instead of 38 inches. On the other hand I am also happy to see that we shared the same pleasure for the quality of the food and most importantly the high degree of professionalism of the crew. CX forever !

At least it was an A350 Airbus, and you got a 16:9 format TV screen, all other Lufthansa planes still have 4:3 TV screens in business and first class😂😂😂😂😂😂.
I like Singapore airlines more for the A350, Not Lufthansa. There is a probability that Lufthansa will NO longer be my Favorite A350 airline in Favor of Boeing 777X from other Airlines!

We are tranferring in Frankfurt and Hoping to go in the Panarama lounge in a couple weeks time, thanks for showing it. if things go to schedule we should have around 3 hours at Frankfurt. Also going on a Cityjet CRJ 1000 to Ljubljana that you reviewed a couple of months ago. Looking forward to it. Frankfurt is a spotters dream, with the 747's and A340's etc. Shorthaul reviews are often overlooked but I have found them very useful.
Going to be on one of these CRJ 1000's Frankfurt to Ljubljana in a few weeks. It seems late is a catch word for Cityjet. LH1462 only being on time about 25% of the time. Nice for me to see what the cabin of this plane is like though, not having been on a Cityjet before. Thanks.

The influencers are the ones w/the cameras in their faces showing us how special they are to be flying business class, like four years olds, the attention is all on them. This reviewer gives us the information we need. Stop complaining.
The footrest seems to be very small or may be you have big feet ? Does the middle seat have a bigger one ? I will fly to Vancouver, so you will help me to choose the right seat. Unfortunately not Allegris. Beside that, i like very much your reports. I feel you enjoy all your flight, even if there is some little problems. Thank you for all those beautiful sharing.
@@dominoch68 thank you so much for the comment! Maybe it’s a mix of both - I have size 46 which is quite big but the rest also seems not too big tbh. The bulkhead seats should have better foot room! For me flying business is still something amazing which I don’t take for granted after having flown economy for my entire life before. Also, who knows how long I’m able to fly business for :) So I try to enjoy every minute! Hopefully you get an aircraft switch to Vancouver in business OR b787 reverse herringbone!

Fantastic report!! With all the love I have for Lufthansa, they really dropped the ball when it comes to updating their business products. The competition is just miles ahead, with fantastic options. I'd say only BA and their old Club World seats are worse than Lufthansa's. They really need to move quickly updating their cabins!
I flew Lufthansa and Swiss and British Airways First Class to North America (to SF multiple times and once to Chicago). Ranking would be Swiss and Lufthansa equally on top and British Airways more like a Business Class with a wider seat. Best thing about BA First Class is the Concorde Room in London Heathrow. Otherwise food and service are miles behind the other two airlines.
Hhhmmmm, not so sure about the Concorde Lounge. We were there a few weeks ago and had people lying on the sofas, sleeping and we had to hunt down staff for a menu and then once again to take out order. But then on board the food was great, including lobster.
@@nickgalla-barth6336 Really? Sorry to hear about this experience at the Concorde Room. I remember only one time I ate a nice lobster in an airplane. On Emirates to Dubai and it was in Business not First.
No wifi is crap. I don't use it, but there is an aspect to traveling First Class where a passenger would want to get work done. They knew it wasn't working before the flight; they could've repaired it beforehand.
